Mitch Marner a marqué deux fois, dont un but sur penalty en désavantage numérique et les Maple Leafs de Toronto ont battu les Bruins de Boston 4-1 dans le premier match.

Sorry but small and speedy doesn't win Cups; hard hitting, bone crushing play and goaltending has won 100% of the time. Cassidy was out-coached in game 1, he got scared of the speed and took a veteran out of the line up for an unproven rookie just because he is quicker. Last night, Cassidy watched the Bruins get pounded because he thinks the Bruins can skate with the Leafs and they can't. Claude Julien thought this too in 2011 and didn't dress Shawn Thornton for the first 2 games of the Cup Finals and the Bruins were beat both games. Thornton dressed for game 3 and set the tone in his very first shift and the rest is history because the Bruins beat up the "more skilled, quicker" team and the Bruins penalty kill had more goals that series than the Canucks power play. And Tim Thomas played out of his mind.
Pretty much, every playoffs since the 1970's that I've watched has gone down that way. You better have goaltending and physicality along with your skill and speed or half your skilled players will be stretchered off the ice or cower when they go into the corners that will leave your team decimated. You'll see…..
Also, Cassidy should keep Rask on a very short leash. I do not blame Rask for the game 1 loss but he is NOT a playoff goalie and WILL choke at some point like he always does because he can't take the team to the promise land the way Thomas did by himself.. Bruins lose game 2, put Halek in for game 3. Rask needs motivation by being sat. I've seen this since he became the starter. He gets lazy and unfocused in games. Plus If you could sit Backes, then you can sit Rask and at that point, you are probably pretty much toast so what will you have to lose (and waiting for game 4 to make the switch will be way too late).
My gut tells me the Leafs exercise the demons this year because of coaching, Bruins over-reliance on Krug on the point (too small, too slow and not physical) and waiting for Rask to melt.
Oh, BTW, I am a life-long Bruins fan so don't think I am some Bruins hater. But when it comes to hockey, I can be very objective and not a homer… It's fun watching Columbus beating up on Tampa in game 2 right now too….LOVE IT!!
Pasta gave me a Puck yesterday at that game 😍😋😁 Coyle did too but Pasta was funny He held the puck in the air infront of me asking me if I wanted it. I said yes and he threw it over the boards and I jumped to get it, but I didn’t know where it went. I’m looking around and then back at him, and he still has the puck! We start to laugh and then he gave me the puck, and I burst into tears. I was so super happy! Btw I was the one w/ the Marchys biggest fan!! Go #63 sign if you saw me at warmups yesterday 😉😋
Leafs need to dump Jim 'pro america team's Houston a d brink back Jim ' holy .mackinaw' Bowen or at least Bob Cole, Bowen a d Cole .and a game more exciting inmho I say leafs in 5😁

Referee's will call penalties on the Leafs for things they THINK they saw and won't call them on the opposition unless it's something they KNOW they saw. It's been like that all year.
2:57 Kadri's pass to Nylander was beautiful. Aside, think of the effect the Raptors are having. If the Leafs don't win, or at least make it to the Stanley Cup finals next year, nothing will.
