Les Penguins de Pittsburgh ont affronté les Hurricanes de la Caroline pour la troisième fois cette saison. Les Hurricanes tireraient un penalty en fin de 1ère période et le capitaine en profiterait pleinement. Kris Letang en tirerait un au filet pour un rebond devant. Sidney Crosby suivrait le rebond et le mettrait au fond du filet pour un but en avantage numérique et une avance de 1-0 pour les Penguins. Moins de 15 secondes plus tard, les Hurricanes auraient leur première réponse au but. Martin Necas égaliserait le match à 1 chacun, mais les Hurricanes n’en avaient pas encore fini. Seulement 17 secondes après leur premier but, Jalen Chatfield a donné l’avantage à la Caroline, portant le score à 2-1 pour terminer la 1ère période. La 2ème période serait remplie de pénalités des deux côtés. Tout en tuant une de leurs pénalités, Brock McGinn des Penguins a marqué un but en infériorité numérique pour égaliser à deux chacun. A l’entame de la 3e, les deux équipes se sont bien battues. À mi-parcours, Bryan Rust s’est faufilé devant le gardien des Hurricanes pour redonner l’avance aux Penguins. Jordan Staal aurait la réponse au but de Rust et forcerait les prolongations. Rapidement après la chute de la rondelle, c’était fini. Lost every game against Carolina so far. Hope we don’t face them in the playoffs if this is how every games going to go

I've been saying it , and ill say it again…if the Pens don't get a quality goalie the will NEVER win another cup. EVERY OTHER member of the Pens is Cup worthy…quite simply , Jarry keeps SCREWING OUR CHANCES !!!!!!

Jarry looked complacent after the Rust goal. Didn't get back in the net and allowed a wrap around. GG to both teams but was thrown by Jarry imo.
Penguins would get flung away by a hurricane 😂 damn it!! Great game but we got to get these guys Pens!!
Edit: though penguins down in the Antarctic live in high winds and a tad cold 🤔 I guess depends on what category the hurricane is and if they’re in a group or chilling on their own. Pens lost because of constantly getting caught icing and letting Carolina live by our net. It's not hard to win a game when every reset is by the other teams net lol. Jarry looked solid made amazing saves and kept this game competitive.
