  1. If they end up dealing Horvat, you could argue that it would be worse than giving the C to messier and trading Linden shortly thereafter. Probably the worst management decision i’ve ever seen.

  2. Idk why they ever game him that contract he never was that guy in his career outside of outliers

  3. Until miller is gone not sure if I can cheer for this team anymore not that there’s much to cheer about anyways. Hate the combination of his play, attitude and cap hit

  4. If they finish 4th worst they will have a 9.5% chance of winning the lottery. Highly unlikely they will finish any worse than that, behind Columbus, Chicago, or Anaheim. I don’t like their chances. More likely they will end up 6-8th worst. They are in a tier with a bunch of other teams that don’t want to win, and that have already faced the rebuild reality.

  5. Vancouver has made so many franchise altering stupid decisions over the years this probably doesn't even come close.

  6. Jesus Christ man slow down. I think you're forgetting about the Messier contract and all the problems that caused, THAT was the biggest mistake in franchise history. Also drafting Virtanen when players who were known to be better were available.

I'm a Canucks fan, Bo is also my favourite player but, I think you're conveniently forgetting that JT was the Canucks best forward for last two seasons and that Horvat is in A CONTRACT YEAR. He won't ever play like this again.

  7. Trade her at , keep miller and you locker room will implode. When guys beings to point at each other’s you know the room is weak without
Leadership and at same time some rumors that Petersen isn’t the easiest to deal in the room

  8. Hindsight 20/20, but at the time the signing was somewhat justifiable. Canucks just came off a promising end to the season post-Boudreau and Miller just flirted with a 100 point season (ending at 99). Bo was just as important to the team as JT with his defensive plays and faceoffs but his production didn't match JT's numbers. Imagine if JT is having a season just like last year, everyone would be saying that the contract is justifiable.

Of course, now this contract alone makes the current management look as bad as the previous one (for now)

  9. Keep in mind, JT Miller has been taking on more of the heavy match ups with the opposing teams top players, which is giving Bo more space to score as traditionally that was his role. Yes, it's a lot harder to get 99 points when you are chasing the likes of McDavid to get puck possession. They kept Miller for a reason. But as with everything…we'll see.

  10. J.T. = Just Terrible
Canucks should consider buying Miller out, it's Miller time for this team cancer.

  11. I’d say top 5 mistakes, but definitely not #1… 😅

Maybe Chicago would take him on? Miller for Domi could work. I guess it depends on whether or not they are going to keep Toews and Kane. They may re-sign them the way Pittsburgh did Malkin and Letang. Both of them together could definitely handle a player like Miller’s presence in the locker room. They’ve done similar before in the past and they’re champion caliber players.

The younger the team the harder it is to mesh with someone like Miller. #Facts

  12. This is the worst mistake the Canucks have made since the Cam Neely trade going back almost 40 YEARS. Unless the Canucks are able to cut their losses and unload Miller before his NTC kicks in, this singing will be worse than both the Messier and Erikkson signings, combined! I'll explain why.
The Messier contract was only for 3 years as opposed to Miller's 7 to 8-year contract. After those 3 years, the Canucks bottomed out to the point where they could draft Daniel and Hendrik Sedin.
As for Loui Erikkson, his biggest sin sorta speaks was him not living up to his contract. That his stats did not even come close to matching the payout of the contract. But unlike Miller, Erikkson did the little things right like back-checking, killing penalties, and being a good teammate. I know they were paying him to do more than that, but that's the way some contracts go. Lastly, Eriksson at least came across as a nice guy. Whereas Miller comes across like an arrogant ass. To me at least, that means something

  13. Biggest mistake made by Vancouver (and three others BTW) was the 1990 Entry Draft. Look it up and you will get what I mean

  14. Then there is trading Cam Neely with the owner telling an upset fan if Neely scores 50 goals he will give him a Season Ticket (think he scored over 50 twice)

  15. Then the signing of Mark Messier which could even be the worst of all time

  16. OK I am overdoing it but JT does not make top 5 mistakes. 1. Taking Nedved over Jagr, 2. trading Cam Neely, 3. Signing Mark Messier, 4. Loui Eriksson, 5. the Halloween Costumes

  17. Get rid of Miller if it's possible, he's an embarrassment to the franchise. He's always turning the puck over and taking needless penalties. He's slow to get off the ice for line changes his attitude sucks.

  18. JT Miller was byfar my favorite player on the Canucks last season, and when I heard about his resigning I was excited. I'm still hopeful he can turn it around, but I get how the contract could be a mistake. But in all honesty I think the Louie Eriksson Signing was worse for Vancouver, because at least JT Miller can produce points despite his defensive errors and at least he hasn't scored on his own net.

  19. His contract is not even the worst mistake in assembling the current roster. The OEL trade is the reason they can't afford to resign Bo.And possibly Kuzmenko. Between him and Garland that is 11$ million in cap space gone. Plus whoever they would have taken with the draft pick.

Just in a pure hockey trade sense, that is Kuzmenko, Horvat and a first rounder for OEL and garland. Imagine waking up to THAT trade had the initial OEL trade not happened. Yeesh.

  20. Unfortunately this isnt up to management. This is an ownership issue, the canucks owners are making these decisions. Dont look at the coaches or the managers. Take a serious look at the owners.

  21. 8mil x 7 for a 30 yr old Miller? And probably similar (or more) to keep Horvat? Trade them both for draft picks and start the rebuild already.

  22. Well considering that the Canucks are famous for making stupid decisions year after year this stuff doesn't surprise me anymore , even if the Canucks were lucky enough to get Bedard in the draft if Bedard was smart he would pull a lindros and say he's not ever playing for the Canucks especially with the current owners and management , any player should avoid the Canucks at all cost , the entire team should be asking to be traded from the Canucks. This team has been in a rebuild since they failed to win the cup in 2010, if I'm a nhl player and I'm watching the Canucks and how they have failed to resign the teams captain and best player there is no way I'd play for them. What kind of team tries trading their best player and then offer him a new contract after they failed to trade him. It's sends a massive red flag to any nhl player looking for a new team .

  23. That's like paying someone to come over to your house 3 times a week to take a shit in the middle of your living room floor.

  24. Why are we keeping Miller and losing Horvat??? absolute insanity

  25. Horvat isn’t biggest lost In canucks history lol this is a good this thing. They had the opportunity to trade JT to help rebuild the Defence but choose to keep miller because the management thought keeping miller will increase the chance to make it to the playoffs. Now nothing is working. Canucks management dodged a bullet they have to hit gold on trading horvat.

  26. classic canucks lets go all in to miss the playoffs by 4 points and let our captain walk for basically nothing

  27. Easy trade to make its gunna take a max retention till end of contract and 2 first round picks

  28. 1/3 of the way through a single regular season and "Biggest Mistake in Franchise History" is going around about JT Miller?

Hopefully it's just this content creator, otherwise Vancouver fans are the most dramatic cry babies on the planet.
