  1. Damn Coyotes trying so hard to make me like them, those OG jerseys are some of my all time favorites and those new ones… Damn those look nice 😀 i dont think theres any yotes jerseys i didnt like

  2. I'm middling on the Arizona thirds… There's some good stuff there, but I think they're a bit two tone. I think if they threw in a bit of purple or black thin striping or outlines that would make it pop more. As it stands it's a bit like a Christmas sweater

  3. I'm genuinely surprised by the positive reception the Coyotes' jersey seems to have. Sure, there are people online thrashing it, but that's just par with the course for literally any new jersey: people are more likely to just give a like if they like it and rant in the comments when they hate it. But overall, even though it seems to hit many classic beats of disliked jerseys – wordmark, two-tone, etc. – people seem to enjoy it.

I personally don't like it very much, but if they can actually sell a bunch of these, I'll be happy for them. With the arena debacle and the rather poor team performance of the last three seasons, they need a W

  4. With Provorov refusing to wear the jersey but someone like Tony D not saying anything is pretty shocking. I'm bothered by people hardcore defending provorov not his decision alone. The theme nights are all for marketing its not like they actually care but it is pretty disheartening to see all the bigotry and hate that comes with a situation like this, and I think it goes to show that hockey culture needs to change. Also people love to pick and choose I gaurantee people defending him would be outraged if he did this with a military jersey

  5. The NHL cannot have the slogan “Hockey is for Everyone” while allowing the Provorov incident to occur unpunished. It’s really that simple…

  6. Just throwing in a request out there for next summer once Adidas is done as the manufacture. I really enjoyed a few years ago you had gone through the jersey history of every team and I really enjoyed that and the great work you put into it!

Wouldn't mind getting that every so many years. I won't lie love all you videos but those are my favorite videos!

    Thanks for all you do!

  7. Lets be real. Almost everyone in the LGBT community probably doesn't even know who Provorov is or even care about the so called 'offense' that he supposedly committed against LGBT people by not wearing some rainbow jersey. The ONLY reason that this is a story is because some in the media are pushing it so hard and bringing so much attention to it and they want to turn this nothing issue into a big controversy.

  8. It may be lip service, but if you were a gay/trans person watching hockey, and you see your favourite teams acknowledging and accepting you for who you are when nobody wlse will, it's a bigger deal than you think.

As for Provorov, I'd have benched him for that. Homophobia has no place in any society and his actions were disgusting.

  9. @thehockeyguy I’m flying out on the plane right now to Buffalo from Cali to see Miller retirement game!

  10. Bob Hope

“I’ve just flown in from California, where they’ve made homosexuality legal. I thought I’d get out before they make it compulsory.”

  11. Remember guys: homophobia is always wrong, regardless of the cultural or religious reasons people use to justify it.

  12. Nice to come home and get updated with all the hockey news Thanks Shannon 😊

  13. The NHL nor Provorov should have to address jack shit. Just because someone refuses to participate in something he disagrees with doesn't mean it comes from a place of hate. This is the fallacy that has been created in the minds of the ignorant. You can respect someone's right to do whatever they want without having to condone or agree with it. Simple as that. But in the modern world, that's not enough for some who go above and beyond to be offended about everything and seek to destroy anyone who disagrees with them. It's pathetic.

  14. What if someone supports gay sex but is against cutting kids dicks off. What should be done in that scenario?

  15. Could the NYR be fined for what Shannon said? ..sure, why not lol. Good stuff as always.

  16. How everything became so political:

People with a square pegs go around trying to shove them in every circular hole that can be found.

  17. PROVOROV'S DECISION HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH POLITICS, HE'S SCARED OF GAY PEOPLE….SAD

  18. It’s funny how the NHL brings the LGBTQ politics into it so much, even thought let’s be honest, the demographic of people who are either in that community of people, or even are passionate about supporting that group of people, isn’t the same demographic of people that watch and play hockey. Yes of course there will be overlap, but I don’t think it’s very much. The NHL wastes a lot of time with these sort of political issues because they aren’t necessarily bringing new fans into the game. It’s funny cause they obviously do it for money and attention and “gotta be inclusive” and all, but I don’t think it’s even helping them at all.

  19. Hi THG,

I found myself feeling confused and disappointed after hearing your remarks on Provorov refusing to wear a Pride jersey during Philly's Pride night.

Seeing comments on this video with many likes about how teams are just doing this for the money is also frustrating. The idea behind such comments is honestly comical in so many ways, and I would simply laugh at them and ignore them if I didn't feel sad and frustrated. NHL teams that provide an entertainment product are doing something to make money? shock

Comments like that get easy likes but are ultimately meaningless. These teams are businesses who's sole purpose is to make money from fans. This is how capitalism works. Congratulations on understanding capitalism I guess? What a convenient time to discover how capitalism works!

Is it so awful to market the product to an audience of people who have been explicitly excluded from the sport since its inception? That's all this night was intended to do. It's not rocket science.

A player on the team took a stand staying that he believes those fans should be excluded. That I should be excluded from this sport. His coach supported his decision. That's a bummer, and the response from the coach & the league is disappointing but not surprising. And I feel sad and frustrated as a result. I'm sure many people who are like me also feel similarly.

I've been watching your videos for a couple of years now, you could say I'm a pretty big fan. I've never commented before so obviously this one had an impact on me.

I don't watch your videos with the expectation that you will have expert commentary on non-hockey related things. I don't expect you to have a perfect response. I don't know what I would have wanted to hear you say, so all I'll say is: that wasn't it.

    Sincerely
    A queer THG fan
