holy fuck that was pathetic
I hate this 1 win 1 loss shit. We clearly aren’t good enough to go anywhere Poile. Start fucking selling
Embarrassing
👍🏻
I knew I smelled something tonight
Fellas, the Nashville Predators may not be a great hockey team this year
Wtf? Arizona? At home>
Fire Hynes.
The Coyotes had SIX road wins coming in to this game.
Fucking disgraceful.
Safe to say this team ain’t making the playoffs ;lol
Fuck you Poile, Fuck you Hynes, and eat a fat dick to the bums on skates. Embarrassing that THIS is all we can ever fucking hope for.
Lol.
Well, I didn’t have to watch the game to see this coming from a mile away. Miss when we’d string together multiple good performances with bad losses sprinkled in *very* seldom. Seems like a common occurrence under this coaching staff and front office. We’ve already said it, but major changes are needed there before anything else. Don’t know how much better we’d do under competent coaching, but I at least feel like it’d be a sizable difference in comparison to this snooze fest hockey
– Our defense shouldn’t have half our shots in the game. Why do we even have forwards then?
– I’m not sure there’s a rule that says a team is required to have a coach. Fire the lizard, set his “system” on fire, and let the players just figure it out themselves.
– Do you think they screen the “fan mail?” If someone sent a literal box of shit to Hynes, do you think he’d personally open it?
Allowing 3 goals on 13 shots… The Yotes nearly had 2 goals on 2 shots in the second period.
I think the Perds had more shots go wide than on goal… Truly poor performance by the team.
We’re the East Palestine, Ohio of the NHL.
That was utterly embarrassing. So we *checks notes* have no defense, no offense, a moron coach with no ideas and a dinosaur GM who waives first round draft picks.
Didn’t even watch the game… Hynes/Poile out.
This team is just awful. I tried to sit down and watch the game and gave up. So, so anemic and awful.
The biggest issue is Hynes’ system. I suspect that to him it’s critically important that every player buy into the system. That’s why you see guys like Tomasino and Tolvanen get sent down or waived and guys like Smith stay up. Because Smith is a great SYSTEM guy who does what he’s told.
The system, btw, is absolute garbage and has no chance of winning. They’re trying to do some Dallas Stars 2018 shit that tormented the Preds in Lavi’s last year: big guys who could forecheck and win the puck and then cycle the puck around the boards hopefully spinning the D players in circles. Boom-boom-boom get a goal.
The problem is that the system is already outdated. The other problem is that we’re SO reliant on the system that we don’t give our players license to be creative. We play against the boards so much that our guys aren’t even getting open for high danger shots. That’s why our shots are so stifled this year. We’re 7th worst in the league at goals per game. Nearly everyone’s shooting % (percent of shots that go in) are at least 5% lower than they were last season.
This team theoretically has enough speed and skill to play east/west hockey and move the fucking puck on breakouts and in our zone. Instead we’re dumping and chasing so we can « establish the zone » but we can just as easily do that with a quality rush. OUR NEW ZONE ENTRY RUSH IS A LIFTED HAIL MARY PASS WTF. We literally just send 3 guys chasing and someone lofts a puck in. Absurd.
CANNOT OVERLOOK that Cody Glass was 10 for 10 in faceoffs tonight. Thats impressive! Also 2 of our 4 takeaways tonight. Dude is really finding it.
I’m sorry I went to this game yall it’s my curse
Boston is gonna destroy us Thursday.
And you bet your ass John Hynes is gonna stand there with that stupid blank look on his face like he’s more concerned with what brand of toilet paper to buy.
I’m shocked that the goalie that hasn’t played in over a month was a little rusty and let in 3 goals on 13 shots.
It’s too bad Tomasino didn’t just put Karl Taylor in his luggage. Or a traffic cone that could stand behind the bench and be as effective as the bald man.
Wow, was hoping to catch the replay tomorrow before my flight. Giving up 3 unanswered after going up 2-1 doesn’t seem ideal.
Idk how our defense has regressed so hard. Probably cause Hynes has killed any semblance of offensive production without throwing a defender into the mix
Shitshow. At least PK had good time. He does not play for preds any longer. Good timing, my guy
One thing that made no sense to me … this five game stretch was AZ BOS FLA MIN VAN. These five games are going to show you what the team needs to do at the trade deadline.
This was the most winnable game on paper. Why did you sit Saros for this one?
There is also a back-to-back so Lankinen is going to play at least once. If you want to play him twice, why not start him against BOS instead? You could even go with him in the first of the back-to-backs and give Saros five days off?
I enjoy this team. Excellent performance top to bottom. I would not fire the leader of this wonderful team nor anyone higher in said organization.
I haven’t watched a game this season when previous seasons I have watched nearly every game. I went to the game last night… I know it was a Monday vs the Yotes, but it was the emptiest I’ve seen the stadium in years. It was also the worst I’ve seen our team in years. No pun intended, but our team simply has zero juice. It felt like Josi and Duchene were trying to do too much and the opposing team were successful by placing tons of focus on them.
Over half of the team look like JAGs. We have no threat whatsoever on our supporting cast. What happened to just two years ago when our fourth and second line actually had some power? The team is obviously the worst they’ve been in years. Saros continues to bail us out, dragging the team from bad to middling levels. As a fan for 15-20 years, this is the least I’ve cared about the Preds during that time. Poile and Hynes simply have to go.
