Tarasenko is cheaper and healthier.
The Rangers chose Tarasenko cause he’s cheaper, he’s healthy & the rangers could have him right now instead of waiting around for Kane. Seems like common knowledge.

Because Tarasenko wanted somewhere new & was ready to be traded. He’s also in better shape & is exactly what the ranges top core needed.
Smart decision by Rangers, Kane isn't worth the money he makes.
Taresenko wasn't as much of a cry baby. He told them he wanted to be traded and then acted like a professional until they found deal.

I'm a Rangers fan from Russia and I'm happy with the trade of course but I really wanted to see Kane and Panarin reunited.
Rangers have more cap space than Leafs. Regardless, both would need a 3rd party team to eat 25%.
Tarasenko is playing powerplay 2.
Vesey is currently on Panarin's line.
Kane seems destined for New York Rangers.
I don't get why people think Leafs have a better chance than Rangers.
They're just assuming Rangers have no interest because they acquired Tarasenko, but I doubt that.
