Don't worry. The Blues will beat the Pens.
I will never understand NHL players that don't put everything into their game. It's a very simple concept: Play every shift like it is a Stanley Cup game 7 overtime.
Message to the locker room was O'reilly and Tarasenko trades
No heart after that is expected and coach should understand it
Get rid of Binnington for picks or another goalie. if the goalie doesnt have a positive mindset and passion its not gonna work. the goaltender is the backbone of every team.
Bernie should play the lottery. That coaches challenge that overturned Van’s first goal was blatant theft.
Binnington💅🏻
8:17:40 Can we just take a moment to congratulate how much time and effort he placed on this videos?
It's great, and I consider they deserve more than that.
In todays world, this isnt good for players mental health. And it gets you cannned.
As a blues fan I stand behind Berube, this whole year we have not had a leader on this team, no one is showing up. No one seems to care almost like they are just in autopilot mode the whole game.
I knew inking Thomas and Kyrou to those insane contracts was a mistake. Most players stop giving a shit once they get the bounty they desire.
How does a player who’s family sacrificed their whole life for a child’s dream to play in the NHL just give up every player who made should give his all the majority of the time regardless how bad the team is play for yourself and the team will play for each other
get rid of top 2 player…proceed to blame top players for no passion
Toropchenko played a helluva game. Had at least 4 really good shot blocks, hard on the fore and back check.
Robert Thomas should go watch his backcheck or lack there of in Pettersson's OT goal, and then re-evaluate his statement that it couldn't be farther from the truth
When the success of your career is also relying on a full team effort you have the right to call them out. Coach and player.
Bench the players who aren’t playing inspired. Why are these players still getting 20+ minutes of ice time if they aren’t doing their job?
But hey, Tyler Tucker scored is first NHL goal
Long term, big money contracts, encourage laziness.
What do you expect when you trade your leaders away 😂
how the hell did my devils lose to this team twice… ???
Just traded the heart and soul…and best goal scorer
Karma for the Blues after the racist death theats against Kadri last season
Jordan Binnington deserves this.
If the players have any backbone they'll take this as a wakeup call over anything else. Kyrou and Thomas have had moments of greatness this season but they're very inconsistent. I don't even know where paraykos head is. I'm glad where toropchenko and tuckers minds are. They're getting fed up with the low effort.
It seems the enforcer/coach style only works for 1 season max before the players give up on them. Case and point Bouchard with Laval.
The refs are inspired though. More inconsistency than ever.
I’m with ya, coach!!
Berube 100% said what needed to be said
And whoooooose job isnit to do the inspiring?
And at the same time the rumours are that their GM didnt want to wait until the deadline to trade their stars because he did not want to win more games than necesarry. Lmao.
Berube is right 100%
Isn't it Coach Berube's job to have them play with emotion and inspiration?
I'm a huge Blues fan, 2 weeks ago I flew from my home in Phoenix to watch a game in St. Louis to support them, and when I see my team doing this crap it just irritates me, but then I remember this happening a few years ago when they were fighting each other in practice, was the last place team in the league, then we won the cup a few months later, so maybe things will turn around soon and next season will be better
Berube is right, but Thomas and Kyrou will be his death in St. Louis now
Isn’t it hard to be inspired when you trade your captain away?
Props to Toropchenko
Miller (SHG) from Petterson and Saad
Bring this man to Toronto.
Since the trade
O'Reilly -3 goals
Kyrou, Thomas, Schenn – 0
It's time for Berube to go. Complete the tank, draft Bedard, get rid of all the useless vets like Bortuzzo and Scandella. Trade away Krug and Parayko. Start fresh with a new coach and rebuilt roster.
That OT winner was shite. All 3 guys could've cared less. But, when you trade off two faces of your franchise at this point in the year, I honestly don't blame them. You can't just pull passion out of your ass. You need to be inspired by something, and that's the coach's job.
Who's not Playing Their Position and Why Not. If You don't Answer that Your just Throwing a Bunch of Adjectives and Phrases Around. Grit, Drive, How does that Explain Who's not Covering Their Position Correctly and Why Your Percentages are Down.
Getting on the ice first for practice after making those comments was brilliant. Every coach in the league wants that guy on their team now.
The Chief is correct. Our best players haven't played up to their level.
They really need to open up the lines. If team is lacking effort, begin rewarding hard work by cutting icetime on lazy ones and viceversa, also that promotes bit of a competition inside the team since the main goal (playoffs) seems unreachable.
They are just not good enough to sustain a long streak of winning hockey. Too many breakdowns in defensive end, some soft goals, and inconsistent scoring has made a tough team begin to lose the character Berube mentions.
This team is built to grind, but now lacks punch to finish.
Blues been like this for years. The only reason we won the cup was Bennington was Red hot stopping everything. You have a goalie covering up your mistakes everyone looks better.
Playing with grit and inspiration is one thing but most of all you need to know how to play hockey. This comment from the coach is just an old way to see the hockey game like you are good at hockey if your nose bleed…The ithing is that nose bleeding alone is not enough to win hockey games. Yoo need to have the talent and the right way to play together.
