Its unbelievable that dubas and co have done this to themselves. If Samsonov is hurt and isn't 100% come playoffs that's a fireable offense imo. Should've just kept Murray on LTIR. At this point I think I'd rather have Woll as backup anyway. All this just puts more pressure on Knies to be a difference maker which is unfair and unrealistic.
Matt Murray will be lucky if he plays more than one game in the playoffs.

Kyle Dubas outsmarts them all once again! Everyone was wondering how the Leafs were going to get through this week with the league quashing their emergency loan of Joseph Woll making Ilya Samsonov the only available NHL goalie.
The answer was the use of two ATO's, get your playoff starter the reps he wants/needs then put him on IR and use the emergency exception provision to get Woll back to give him the reps he needs.
How can you not chuckle at both how brazen and clever this is at the same time?
That is a stressed Dubas and Keefe. But Dubas to his credit is very clever for what he's done in this situation.
I love Kyle Dubas, he seems like such a decent guy. I'm a total Dubas stan. 😄

This is what happens when you overpay these kids, especially when they hadn't even had chance to prove themselves in this league yet. Yes, the core players have been good, but they are not all worth the money they are receiving, IMO.
