First! Totally hoping for an LA upset. I am loving the look of their team and Korpisalo is showing he's ready to stand up behind them.
Edmonton keeps playing that way they’re gonna win.
I don’t even know how you can have a quiet 40 goal season but Kempe somehow had one? Hopefully he becomes more of a household name as he keeps performing well in the playoffs
Adrian Kempe might be the most underrated player in the league his shot is lethal and he's one of the fastest players in the league he doesn't get talked about enough
“It’s only game one.” Keep that same energy if the Leafs lose game 1 tonight.
Yes, Jesse, the Kings are real. They exist as certainly as love and generosity and devotion
exist, and you know that they abound and give to your life its highest beauty and joy. Alas! how
dreary would be the world if there were no Kings! It would be as dreary as if there were no
Jesses. There would be no childlike faith then, no poetry, no romance to make tolerable this
existence. We should have no enjoyment, except in sense and sight. The eternal light with which
childhood fills the world would be extinguished.
Not to believe in the Kings! You might as well not believe in Leafs game 7 losses. You might get your papa to
hire men to watch in all the games to catch the Kings, but even if you did
not see them entering the zone, what would that prove? Nobody sees the Kings, but that is
no sign that there are no Kings. The most real things in the world are those that neither
children nor men can see. Did you ever see Connor McDavid dancing on the lawn? Of course not, but that’s
no proof that they are not there. Nobody can conceive or imagine all the wonders there are
unseen and unseeable in the world.
You tear apart the baby’s rattle and see what makes the noise inside, but there is a veil covering
the unseen world which not the strongest man, nor even the united strength of all the strongest
men that ever lived could tear apart. Only faith, poetry, love, romance, can push aside that
curtain and view and picture the supernal beauty and glory beyond. Is it all real? Ah, Jesse, in
all this world there is nothing else real and abiding.
No Los Angeles Kings! Thank God! They live and live forever. A thousand years from now, Jesse,
nay 10 times 10,000 years from now, they will continue to make glad the heart of hockey fandom.
not a daring prediction considering the kings won the first game that many were saying was going to be a 4 game sweep for the oil.
Praying on the Oilers downfall 🙏😈 Love me some McDoofus but can't stand the fans
You nailed it Jesse. They played the high powered Avs few days ago and outshot them 23 to 3 in the first that's how good this king are.
I don't know if the Kings look ready for a Cup Run, but they certainly ready to expose an Oilers team which has gotten better since the trade deadline, but perhaps not solved all the problems many people thought they had. I do think the Kings are real, and I've seen a lot of people sleeping on them as an potential upset. I picked LA in my bracket because I don't think that Ekholm single-handedly solves all the balance and defensive issues the Oilers had, despite the hot run that they went on at the end of the season.
kings got dominated lol they aren't a problem
The Kings stealing a win despite missing Fiala and Vilardi is quite impressive to be honest.
I love how this is an overreaction video yet it's still more calm and collected than listening to Charlie Day and Wyldes fake laugh
huge win for the kings
the trade with the blue jackets and the wild for fiala have been huge
go kings go
If LA wins game 2 as well there winning this series book it
Series only gets harder when LA gets healthier. Gave Vilardi confirmed to have made the trip. Probably will slot in game 2. If fiala comes back it’s scary times for oil country
6 powerplays? Who gets 6 powerplays in a playoff game? Were the Oilers just total goons out there? Did the refs change the rules for playoff hockey again, and start calling everything, or were the Oilers just running amok?
The kings r not a problem please know hcokey before u talk thanks
I felt like LA got there footing in the 2nd they really started to slow things down and while the Oilers had a few high danger chances an a lot of zone time LA was able to limit those high danger chances and a kept the majority of the shots to the outside and was able to transition to offence easily that's LA Kings hockey LA having a healthy top 4 makes life so much easier when the Kings can ensure that McDavid is always facing a pair that can limit his offense
Oilers in 54:16 of 5×5 time: controlled 62.96 percent of the shot attempt share, 62.07 percent of the scoring chances, and 66.6 percent of the expected goal share. No points for McDavid. Weird goal called off in the first period. Oilers had 6 penalties, including that very flukey trip in OT (it was a penalty but they should be thanking the lord that inexplicably found its way between Lizotte's skates). The Kings are good, but last night is not particularly good evidence of the Kings being anything other than resilient and opportunistic.
I take nothing away from what the king's did last night. They fought hard and kept it close giving them a punchers chance to win.
But they won because of penalties the oilers outplayed and outscored them 5 on 5. You're not going to get 6 pp every game. 2 goals came on the pp and 1 came 4 on 4 meaning penalties also led to that goal. I think the oilers come out hard in game two and we go to LA tired at one but maybe I'm wearing orange and blue colored glasses.
Regardless Go Oilers Go
LOL “look ready for a cup run”?!?! That game was decided by penalties lol and I can tell you the oilers aren’t gonna give them up like that next game, they got dominated for the entire game lol that’s wild to come out and say they are ready for a cup run
They were trailing Edmonton the whole game, a couple bad penalties at the end cost the oilers the game.
You FAILED to mention that Kopitar had 4 pts. Any other player who puts that up on the stat sheet on a winning team will be the primary focus of a game review…Crosby, McDavid, Draisaitl, Patrick Kane, Marner, etc. This is exactly why Kempe had a "quiet" 41 goal season because Kopitar pretty much assisted on every one of those goals.
Weak
LA kings overrated
Love your hockey knowledge and ability to relay it to you audience. I'm subscribing now. Awesome job!!
I'm getting 2018 Vegas vibes from LA. Seattle samething.
As a Flames fan, if the Oilers stay out of the box, I don't think they have a problem
Let’s be real in all honesty the oilers lost that game the kings didn’t win it. The oilers handed them the win with unbelievable amount of penalties and I’m not even gonna complain abt the refs the oilers just were undisciplined in that game.
Bet the Kings +1200 to come out of the what and placed a series bet for them to win in 7 LETS GO KINGS 😂
Can't wait for the leafs video tomorrow
The good guys won. That’s what counts 🎉🎉
Happy to see you're picking up that the Kings don't have the same identity they had 10 years ago. Too many describe the Kings as big and physical. They have been moving away from that ever since Rob Blake took over as GM.
