   Same ole problem, Power Play. Can’t manufacture scoring when needed.

   Hi Gil—-it always takes a few days to decompose—I don’t even watch hockey for almost 2 weeks after we’re eliminated—but between the B’s and Rags in trouble—-misery loves company. Ty for your hard work all year—-you have a fan in me and I will always support your sincere and professional podcast—-Ty!! —I felt Ilya was mentally fatigued as I alluded to in a recent comment. I don’t blame him—-I thank him for giving us goaltending we haven’t seen since the good ol Dynasty Years. Gil he played a lot of “pressure hockey and faced many high danger rubber”. He’s elite but could have used a spell down the stretch. Look—I’d rather not beat a dead horse—-but Lou has to go. A new Gm—-hire Laviolette asap before he gets snatched—-Ishikov and Dufor make the team next year—-buy out Bailey———Gil I would heavily consider packaging Dobson before he loses his value—he was dreadful. The identity line has has its day—I mean at least get rid of clutter and give Ross that spot—-he’s looked mediocre because he’s not in game shape. Varly—pay cut or see ya. ——However-if Lou is still here? Well he will run it back again because at his age—-he can’t retool or tear it down—he does not have the time with his age. Another number 1 gone and another season just like this—-and unless Pens and all others crash like they did—-we won’t make it. Lambert? Well the count did not call a time out knowing full well that his team was gassed. That’s pure inexperience—-he either forgot to or kept saving it——team was gassed in the 3rd. Regardless—-it was a better year than prior one but this summer is a turning point for this once very proud franchise!! Do we wait till October 1st to find out we extended Bailey 3 years and landed a 5”9 7 goal ahl grinder or do owners show some sympathy to us and make a change. If Lou is not let go by The Finals—-he got extended and that would feel like a root canal. I’m tired of waiting Gil——40 years—-that’s a very long time. Again—-Ty Gil, you’re very much respected and appreciated!! We will try it again come the fall boys!! Enjoy the summer!!

   Hi Gil, I really feel for the Ny islanders to sell season seats for next year they need to fire lane lambert and Lou lamoriello. The first year at ubs arena my son and I had excellent season seats and it cost us 9,2160.00 with parking. It turned out to be a bust because they did not make the playoffs. This year we would only do partial season seats for 1,600.00 plus by seats for half price when we want to go. I have to say the new salesman we got this year denis rice is a dynamic guy. If we do it next year would be because of Denis rice or do the blue and orange section 329 i think it only cost 1,200.00 you get all the home games. Not a bad deal!

   The pp and losing the special teams battle plus no sense of urgency in gm. 4 coming off of big gm. 3 win at home did isles in. Outside of that nothing really went wrong. Isles just weren't good enough to win a playoff series regardless of it is was canes or whoever this season. Isles are just too flawed outside of sorokin saving their bacon too many times to count. I hope lou takes serous look at things and realizes this roster as currently constructed has seen its better days. Lou should buy out bailey and find a better option. varly and mayfield unless they take cheap deals wont be back. The offense sucks and that lack of skill is the main reason isles can't put a legit pp out there each season regardless of who the coach is. And what does the off-season offer? Unless a trade that comes out of the blue and changes this roster it will be another off-season of inactivity for lou. At least lou has no first to throw away at the draft this year. And ufa meier is out there. I wont even go into that since isles have no chance.

   What's with former isles/farmhands scoring ot goals to end series? First pj judas now Verhaeghe. And eberle has an ot winner for kraken too. Yet isles lose two ot games. And the most awesome best ever can't be beat unbeatable b's got their asses knocked out in game seven ot. B's couldn't even get out of the first round. B's back end and goal were so weak. Serves sweeney right for throwing yet more firsts away on cap nobody's and bertuzzi. And as bad as isles system is b's is ranked dead last at 32. At least i can smile over b's demise tonight. OF NOTE. Watching tb lose to laffs who finally advance past first round tb is now too petered out after three straight runs to the finals. Which makes isle dynasty run to five straight finals and those 20 straight series they went thru '80-'84 even more impressive.

    You want to know how important pp's are? Oiler pp clicked at over 30% during the season. At one point in first round oilers were 8-14 on pp vs. kings. Oil won the series and are onto round two and now with av's and b's gone oil will probably win the cup now. Oil will beat vgk with losers eichel and cassidy. Of course it helps when you have guys named mcd and draisital on your team. Same thing the isle pp was during the dynasty years with trots, bossy, potvin. You took penalties against isles they made you pay for it. This isles team can only dream of a pp like that.

    Gil another great show. The failure and future of the Isles starts and ends at the top, that means Lou doesn’t get extended and Lame gets the door ! The only untradeable players should be Sorokin and Pullock. I’d only, keyword for that Mets fan in the chat is ONLY trade Barzy for this years first pick ! Bedard is the next Bossy, Gretzky and Trotz wrapped into one ! Horvat and Barzy are gonna need a line mate that is fast and will go to the front of the net, Lee is toast on that line and the C should be taken from him ! Bailey, Clutter need to retire or find another team, thanks for your service but your time is up. It’s a dirty business but it is what it is ! Varly needs to take a pay cut or he can walk, same with Palmieri, Parisi stays for league minimum. It won’t take a complete rebuild, some tinkering which included some more youth and speed into the lineup and hopefully a FA that can help. Oh. How could I forget Mayfield, either he stays on a home team discount or he can go also !

    Hey Gil, love the podcast. Looked like in game 6 Islanders intentionally went into defensive posture, although was surprised that lambert did not confirm this strategy in post game interview. Also couldn't find barzal on ice for 1st 10 minutes. Was this noticed by anyone else?
