being up 2-0 then losing 4-3 is pathetic. rangers need a new team even the additions at the trade deadline couldn't bring them a series win. and the bread man failed miserably

Really didn't have many opportunities, Schmid didn't have to make any great saves. For Rangers it was shoot once and retreat. No sustained pressure. Terrible effort or maybe the Devils were that much better than us.

This game wasn't on you Jacob, with or without the hit. You won your fair share of one on one battles. Too many times the puck would be in a corner and a devil would make a play to create a chance or get the puck out of their zone.

You did play a solid series but as far as captains go, you aint it, you couldnt lead this team to 2 more wins up 2-0 in a series?? Absolute garbage. It’s not just about this game. 2-0 series lead going back to home ice. Game 4 absolute snoozer. Game 5 absolute snoozer. Game 7 absolute snoozer. Credit to the devils, but the rangers weren’t urgent so when he says they fought to the end i beg to differ.

The big spin is on, dude you guys sucked from the puck drop, lazy, careless sloppy hockey. It was an embarrassment and an insult to the fans. The first 2 games you played with passion, after that a no show until game 6 second period.

The inexplicable flip in effort from game 6 to game 7 is the obvious question to answer. That cannot be blamed on the coaching. The players, aside from the goalie who was outstanding, are responsible for this limp performance. The turnover that Fox made in the second period was so bad, so amateurish it beggars' belief. Was he in a daze? Overall unprofessional game 7 by the Rangers.

Rangers should get a better Captain.
The reason they lost was a lack of physicality, urgency and grit. You can have all the skill in the world, but you can't win anything without GRIT.
Everyone except Igor needed to elevate their compete level and it just didn't happen. 35 years of watching the Rangers and I've never seen a playoff performance like this. There was no hitting, no chirping, no scrums in front, very little traffic, and just no energy at all. Felt like I was watching an exhibition game, not a playoff game.
I like the core group we have here, but some big changes need to be made too. Get some f'n grit on this team.
