Amazing to keep hearing the narrative that the rangers didn’t show up. What a failure in hockey analysis. The rangers showed up they don’t have an answer to the devils speed or transitional game. That resulted in the rangers not having an answer thus leading to the lose. The devils completely dominated 5-5 play. This not showing up is like me saying I lost a one-on-one hockey game to Connor McDavid because I didn’t have enough effort – just dumb.

My sister and her family are huge Ranger fans, while I live and breathe Devils hockey. I am trying so hard to be a gracious winner, but inside, I too am celebrating a "RECCOFIESTA!!!"
The devils speed won this series. Rangers simply were too slow and the devils, when zoned in, completely dismantled the playbook of the NYR. Devils just kept coming
What this loss proves once again for anyone interested is that so long as the 1-2 punch of Dolan/Sather continue to run and influence the franchise, there will be no Cup. There will be no championship. there will be no dynasty and there will be no long-term success. So long as the 'One Trick Pony' Glen Sather has a key to the building, they will remain what they have for the 23 disgraceful years that hack has made himself rich working for someone even more thick than he is. Everything else is just conversation. Until you cut the cancer, the body remains infected. And Dolan and Sather are the cancers of this franchise. Always have been and always will be.

The Devils were the better team in the regular season and in the playoffs . Those first 2 games were fluke wins for the rags. We were jittery and nervous and needed to find our game,and we did. The Devils were built,not bought like you jokes.

Rangers fans are consistently delusional and annoying. They have won 1 Cup since 1941 in 94. That's it, 1 Cup in 82 years. And only 4 Cups total for an OG6 team. But the way they talk, you would think they have won as many Cups as Montreal. Yankees fan mouths, Cubs history; that's the average Rangers fan.
It’s tough being a NY fan. Lowest cup total of any original six teams, 29 years since last cup (4 in 97 years), 50 years since last Knicks championship, 54 years since last Jets championship. At least the Yankees have had more recent success although being in last in the AL East doesn’t bode well.
Who will pay the price? Not the players. Their contracts are too large and they have no movement clauses on them. This team won’t look much different next year. There has to be a coaching change. We need a system and advanced analytics.
Rangers better start looking for a new goalie. After his contract is up, Igor is walking. Unless there are some huge changes over the next year or 2, he’s not going to want to stick around to try and bail out a team that doesn’t really want to play hockey……
Nah Akira did not outplay Shesterkin. The devils never really allowed the Rangers to establish any sort of threating offense to him. He was great but to say he outplayed Shesterkin is disrespectful to Shesterkin. The Rangers just looked like they didn't want to be there.

The Devils were ahead of the Rangers since the last couple of months and finished ahead of them at the end of the season. Hence they had home ice. And that’s coming out of nowhere? Yeah, ok. The Mcleod goal is a great example of just how skilled modern NHL players are. Even Mikey, a 4th line faceoff and defensive specialist, has incredible hands and poise. The same is true of so many other bottom 6 guys in the league. The skill floor is higher than its ever been (as is the ceiling).
“Not watching the game is not a superstition”. Actually my buddy didn’t see game 3 so he continued to not watch game 4, 5 or 6. Since the devils lost game 6, he watched game 7 though
