  1. Leaf fan since 1971. Born in 1968. the year after the Leaf's last cup. I exploded with joy. Favorite Leaf- LANNY!! Favorite hockey player- Guy Lafleur. Favorite Goalie- Martin Brodeur. Favorite D- Al Macinnis. Most exciting – OVI.

  2. No, Matthews is acting this way because hes twice as stressed out about losing in the second round.

  3. only 12 more wins….don't forget about the pass to JT….from Knies….in the corner…..

  4. in guessing maybe you were not born yet or still in diapers during the 1993 playoffs were the leafs went to the 3rd round and frankly in my opinion got robbed by officiating. thats were im coming from so you must know how far i've come waiting and waiting you have no idea what its like coming so close in 1993. these are highly paid and skill players they are expected to win. compare to back in the days of 1993 and prior, it was heart and soul and not about money. so take a chill pill sit back relax. until they get to the 4th round which is the stanley cup..then and only then you can start to believe.. otherwise in the mean time one series one game at a time.

  5. Not going to lie I super nervous going into this game with failing to close it out in game 5 I couldn't help but think is that demon that had been following us around coming back again or well this be the years the leafs put that demon back in the box and throw that sob in the Atlantic Ocean

  6. I was born in 06 last time they past round 1 of was 04 so I’ve actually been waiting my entire life for this.

  7. In my late 30’s and the last time I felt this way was when Sundin was captain. It feels nice to have this feeling again. I truly hope they can go all the way, or at least sow the seed of belief. It’s a start but here’s to more memories!

  8. Everyone is already saying “it’s one round.” It’s more than one round when you go 19 years without one. I was my sons age the last time I saw this happen. I’m soaking it in, and I don’t care. 😂

  9. Lol 😂 What a pathetic bunch… I watched the leafs win the Stanley cup in 1967 Not a big deal really it will not change your life.

  10. Great video man. I’m a 42 year ago diehard. Watched every heartbreak. This feels good. Finally. Steve Dangle said it best, “it feels so good to be on this side!” Go leafs go!

  11. problem i see it is —- leaf fans should really have a simmering anger towards this team and expect more. all they did was beat an aging team on the downslide in round 1. it should be expected – not lauded no matter what the last 20 years has meant. i look at it with a simple math equation: (1967 + insane ticket prices) = the Leafs owe their fans alot more

  12. That high stick on Hagel no call definitely played a role in deciding the game, not the series, but the game. The main reason is had they called it, the Lightning would’ve been on the Power Play, at the very least, at the start of OT and the Leafs didn’t have to fight off a power play for like the first minute and a half of OT. The fact that it happened in an elimination game and the no call went against the team facing elimination is coincidental in this case and is why I say it helped decide the game, but not the series, like if it had happened in game 3 or 4 in this series(setting aside the boarding call that was thrown away in Game 3 that probably heavily influenced the outcome of that game.

  13. I was 20yrs old the last time we advanced. I can’t believe it. I’m still in shock lol this is something to relish in and of course we’re all being realistic
We stopped a dynasty- period. Let’s go!

  14. We defeated a team that in the last 5 years has 2 division championships, 1 presidents trophy, 2 Stanley Cups, and 3 finals appearances. We defeated the undisputed #1 team of the last 5 years, and we defeated the closest thing to a hockey dynasty since the 1980s, we, the Toronto Maple Leafs did that in 6 games.

  15. My father is a 62 year old leafs fan ever Since he came to Canada and he was absolutely freaking out

  16. I wasn’t even alive when they last won a round, so I have been waiting my whole life for this exact moment. My dad’s reaction was even crazier. When they scored that overtime goal, all I heard was him yelling with happiness. A truly amazing W for the Leafs.

  17. as someone from toronto people have no idea how much this meant. i dont even care if they lose now i got what i wanted

  18. You can tell how much a Calgarian hates the Oilers if they choose to support the Leafs whatsoever. Sincerely, props man.
