It took me FAR too long to realize these were different draft years and not the same group lmao. I got to McDavid Marner and Matthews and then it all came together. NHL players don’t really have much variety

Man, we always talk about how hockey lacks players with charisma, but when you look at most of these guys they look like the kinda dudes who have a cumsock stapled to the bottom of their desk for quick use.
Connor McDavid is a generational player, may end up in the top 10, if not 5 best players ever by the time his career is over. But holy fuck is he ever an awkward looking individual, he doesn’t look comfortable in any situation, other than torching 5 players for a beauty of a goal.
Ekblad looks like he comes from Yale legacy and didn’t know his father because he attended a Swiss boarding school from age 8-17
