Full rebuild incoming, Dubas and Keefe treated their players like queens and they'll pack up and leave once the new guys try to shake things up
That press conference was just an example of his youth/inexperience. He thought he could get away with telling the press how he truly felt and it backfired on him. Dubas was a good GM. He'll be back, and he'll be better for this experience. The man is only 37 years old. Hell, Lou Lamoriello has underwear older than that.
My understanding is that he told them he needed to talk it over with his family, and they thought that was just a formality, whereas he actually meant it. But we’re fans, so our loyalties and therefore rationalizations will almost always support those who remain and blame the one who is no longer here.
Well sure is going to be an interesting off season…

Please…enough with it’s about what he said at the presser, the bottom line is, he failed to win more than 1 post season series in five years GM. If this was Boston, would he have lasted that long? Not a chance. He built a great regular season team, but he also built a post season ghost team. Simply not good enough and that’s why he’s gone.
