  1. “If I dont get signed in Toronto you won’t see me for a while”

    Well it’s been two weeks.

  2. Dubas is a junior and has shown he is not an executive. Dubas will ruin the Penguins like he did in Toronto

  3. Dubas is the classic definition of not what you know, but who you know.

Without his networking, he would’ve been hammering away at a regular 9-5, like the rest of us, probably at a corporate finance company.

  4. Dubas made a lot of bad moves in Toronto. I don't know why so many people think of him as the next Theo Epstein. He's taking on a "mature" team without much in the way of prospects. The Penguins are going to be looking up at New Jersey for a long time.

  5. Dubas won’t be missed in Toronto. Treliving will be fine and the Leafs might actually have a chance to turn the corner and become a proper playoff team. The Leafs were toast if Dubas stayed.

  6. Dubas without the “Shanacuffs” will be successful with the Pens, anybody that knows anything about hockey, championship teams in the NHL are built on experienced teams that have gelled well together and don’t have Toronto media like pressures and pressure from corporation execs that know nothing about hockey. Pens organization decisions have was always been superior in terms of personnel changes compared to MLSE and Bell Media Corp that continue to hold the winless streak alive since 1967!

  7. Aside from the different title, it feels very much like role Brian Burke had in Vancouver.

  8. He wanted more power cause he achieved so much in Toronto 😅 .wasted the leafs time .

  9. Kyle is two years older than me and to work with Sidney is a a once in a lifetime opportunity.

  10. "you wont see me pop somewheres else next week"Kyle Dubas
I guess it was two weeks but whos counting

  11. Honestly, best of luck. Maple Leafs might be his first and last GM job and he did not do well. I am surprised by this as looking back, there is maybe nothing Dubas was worse at than contract negotiations – lol to the point he even lost his job in Toronto by overplaying his hand. Couldnt negotiate with players and couldnt negotiate his own deal. I think Dubas can provide smart input from a certain perspective, but hes not the guy I want making ultimate decisions. Penguins about to head into a rebuild, maybe they like him for his experience with prospects.

  12. Very intelligent person that made Toronto one of the top teams in the league for several years.

  13. Nowadays, these off ice activities are actually more entertaining than the game itself. ✔️
