I don't think any team could offer what it would take to pry nuge off the Oilers roster. Unless McDavid and Draisatl want to trade him.

Oilers are in a predicament. Hyman/Nuge/Kane are on affordable contracts and 2 of them just put in career highs (Kane was also fine, but injured). But if they were to trade one away, their offense would likely just carry on. Meanwhile, the Oilers' defense is downright terrible (arguably not even 50th-percentile IMO) and desperately needs an reinforcement.
Realistically there won't be any major changes this off-season, but I feel like there should if they want to start being competitive vs. the big boys next year.

1. The Oilers do not want to move him.

Not likely to trade him with a NMC. But he's not a "great player." He's a good player that had a career year. Would not expect that production again.
Why is this shocking? He is their best trade piece, and to say he will get another 100pts season is questionable at best. Sell high on him and secure the defence. With the boat anchor that is Darnell nurse they need a legit top 4 shut down defencemen. You have Evan Bouchard to sign which you pray he signs a bridge. But below are free agents you can sign that would help that dcore tremendously.
