Yes, I know some of these numbers won’t be available, but it’s what the players wear now, so can’t really predict what jersey number they’d switch to at the NHL level if they had to.
I want the sharks to draft michkov. He is up there with bedard in skill and worth the uncertainty imo. Still hurts to see bedard in a hawks jersey

id be ok with a dvorsky pick if the gods are unkind and smith doesnt slip to 7th for some crazy reason, but i think its insane to expect philly to pass on michkov who are in rebuild mode and his timeline would be perfect for us.
weve got the 22nd pick, so im hoping we walk away with at least one center but if Michkov is available I dont think we take Dvorsky.

Nice work putting this together! I agree with a lot of these picks. But I’m assuming OP is a Caps fan. Unless something comes up last minute, there’s zero chance Michkov drops past #7. I would get my life that if Michkov makes it to #7, Philly takes him as they need top end talent and are entering at least a 2-3 year rebuild with a new GM. Briere is going to look to make a splash.
I think the one exception could be if CBJ takes Michkov instead of Carlsson. Then I think it throws everything out of whack. I think there’s a chance Carlsson, Smith, or Michkov go #3 overall. Smith isn’t likely gonna make it past SJ. The one wrinkle I could see is at #5. The Flyers are likely gonna make a splash here. They are willing to listen to offers on Carter Hart.
I could see in some world where the Flyers move Hart to Montreal in a deal that moves them from #7 to #5 to get whatever guy is left of these Big 5 players. It nets MTL their new franchise goalie as he’s not even hit his prime yet and has 2 years of control left before he hits FA.
Also, maybe I’d swap Moore & Willander, but that would likely be a toss up as well
