If this guy was remotely intuitive on the ice in the defensive zone he might be worth half his salary ….
Darnell is a nice guy. Too bad lost his head & took that suspension for the biggest gm of Yr vs Vegas (GM5). Playing in that game & winning…. likely would have led to a SeriesWin.. up 3-2 is a huge advantage. Requiring rookie Broby to play led to his 2 penalties… then the Janmark 5on3… Games close so have to elim mental errors. To make the reason for the loss more clear… rookie that goaded Nurse into the fight got the winning goal.
What did he win it for being the horrible defencemen or because he's McDavid's friend the same way he got his money.
One day he might just turn out to be the defenseman the Oilers were hoping for….one day…..😵💫
Nurse is a true Warrior and is the backbone of the Oilers, he has turned into one of my All-Time favorites because of his Maddog comittment to improving every year. This coming Season is going to be Darnells coming out Party offensively. I always thought he would make a deadly Power Forward of the Kane variety .
