Why do people keep saying that 1st rounders in the possibly the second best crop of talent in one draft during the modern era will take five years to be an NHL player? What??? About half the 2021 1st round has played in the NHL, and six of those have played more than a full regular season's worth of games already. And then many more of them will reach the NHL this season. Almost the entire 2020 1st round has played in the NHL, and 10 of them have played between 90 and 216 regular seasons games. It's simply not true that all these guys will take five years. Demonstrably.
It wouldn’t surprise to see Ryan O’Reilly re-emerge as impactful in a different venue..Leafs had their core four when he arrived there..in Buffalo the coaching was a muddle when he was traded to Blues..and wow he made things go when he arrived there. ✅
I wish that The Rangers could move Trouba for DeBrincat, but, it won't likely happen.
