Yes, thankfully he’s not a leaf anymore

  2. ChilleeMonkee

Yeah he was an off brand pylon for the leafs, I’m not thrilled with this

Wings have 30 mil in cap space and are trying to stay at the floor through a rebuild. People are jumping the gun on where the team is at and what still needs to be done.

  4. Domestic_Chaos

Honestly I thought the Reimer signing was worse

  5. TayOs1998

Thank you Steve now maybe Keefe can actually ice the best possible team

The Chariot move was definitely worse than this one, and I think the PTSD from it is part of the extreme reactions to this signing. Ben Chariot is legitimately a hockey terrorist.

Not strapped for cash. Not a contender. And not really losing anything. Don’t be so dramatic.

man some people never got taught patience at a young age and it shows go fucking support the hawks

  9. Tall-Grapefruit3833

Cap space? More like cap dance! Yzerman’s secretly training them for a synchronized salary floor routine!

  10. DependentHalf5498

Hey, let’s not panic! Yzerman’s just playing 4D chess with our cap space.

He’s gonna play better not in toxic Toronto as their whipping boy

I love how people immediately judge a player on a signing or a just drafted player. Like chill let’s see how it plays out

Pens and leafs both gave up McCann and he scored like 40 goals with Seattle. Holl might look like a solid D in Detroit. Give it some time

  13. mcflyr63

Absolutely not. It’s more of a cap floor signing and people are freaking out. He’s a big body that blocks shots and can eat some minutes. That’s literally all Detroit needs him to do. I don’t like the Reimer signing.

Justin Holl the type of player to leave the leafs and carry his team to the Stanley Cup

  15. Secret_Mango2530

well, he sucks ass, so yeah, this is a bad move from an objective standpoint. he’s a bad player.

  16. No_Good2934

Doesn’t really seem significant one way or the other.

  17. MandogsXL

So they didn’t pay Yams 3.1M for 1 year just so they could sign Holl for 3.4 for 3 years? I’m really not sure about that one

  18. TheRitalinCommando

Yzerman’s worst move as GM was keeping Jeff Blashill. And he repeated that mistake for several years.

  19. Chariot is easily the worst signing.

  20. TrajanBeta

    No. It’s Treliving’s best move.

  21. ThatHouseCDN780

Wait until you see JT Comphers deal

  22. NefCanuck

Well, this signing will either damn Holl as a D man in Detroit or damn Keefe and his Leafs staff as coaches 🤷‍♂️

  23. bobbyboogie69

As a Leafs fan I can’t tell you how glad we are to be rid of Holl….every time he hit the ice I was waiting for the mistake that was going to cost us. Detroit overpaid him big time.

  24. Ok_Conversation2811

After 3 full years he couldn’t even break .500 That expectation shouldn’t have been out the question, but it was.
