I listen to the podcast ‘Swindled’, they had an episode on it. It was really good, I’d imagine this would be too.

Yes, it’s a great doc. Shows some the history of the Islanders as well which is sweet.
Of Miracles and Men is also a killer doc. too from 30 for 30 of the Russian side of the 1980 miracles.
Oax5wind
Yes, as is the other 30 for 30 doc about Gretzky

Yeah definitely if you’re a hockey fan you’ll find it interesting I’m sure

Yes.
Spano is a crook, and this does a great job of showcasing it.

Honestly watch every 30 for 30 documentary. There are only a handful of them that I didn’t enjoy. The majority of them are fantastic, and even if the subject matter doesn’t sound interesting, watch it anyways because it’s most likely good even if you have no prior interest in the subject that it’s about.

I watched it. I really enjoyed it. One of those stories that sounds too crazy to be true.

Yes, if only to demonstrate that the league is a joke at all levels.
Best sport, worst league.

If this is interesting to you, Mike Milbury did an interview with spitting chiclets a couple months back where he dives into all his disastrous decisions that were made by him and around him during this time with the islanders

Absolutely worth watching. I spent hours after watching this just going down the internet rabbit hole on this. Also worth watching is the episode on the minor league hockey team owned by a mob guy who starts shakily buying up legit players.

30 for 30 are some of the best in-depth documentaries out there. This one in particular showed how the business side of sports can nearly destroy an entire team and its legacy. Highly recommend it.
