Bedard will be great, but in fairness 95% of NHLers would have made that pass just as easily. Anthanasiou had the d man beat so all Bedard had to do was just put a little pass out to Anthanasiou. He really didn't even need the sauce he put on it because the d man's stick wasn't even in the passing lane.

Bedard will have the same protection as McDavid. Nobody hit McDavid even when possible. Players are afraid of hurting the superstar, like McDavid in his first year. Certainly McDavid is the best player in the NHL, but it's crazy to see that opposing players let him pass without even trying to give him a check.
