The encouraging thing for me , was seeing Manson back on the ice and at times looked like himself, even though he hasn’t really played in almost half a season.,,, PS Bo will get back to Bo play,, as for PLD that should of been a 5 min penalty that was deliberate knee on knee,,,Drouin is actually trying hard I’ve seen him in Mtl the last 5 years never saw what he did yesterday , he used to glide back on D , yesterday he was most plays the 1st F back on D checking and playing D

Sound check: Hungry like the wolf – Duran Duran. The top line was buzzing just like we wanted to see. All of the Avs goals were beauties, and this squad looks angry they fell short last season.
Also Chris said it best. Last years squad gave me ptsd when it comes to teams coming back on us. After that late 2nd goal for the Kings, I was fully expecting the Avs to lay down and let the Kings roll right over them. Glad to see the boys come out with some fire and put this one away. Hope to see more of it as the season continues.
Very good game. Top line could be the best in NHL by end of year. 4th line was meh. Please get MacDermid off the ice; he’s useless. I do not understand the love affair. Where was Tatar? Even Girard was physical, which helps prove my hypothesis that he was not feeling great for a year and a half.
Top line looked phenomenal. Didn’t think Mikko could elevate his game any more than last season but that may have been the most complete game I’ve seen from him. The pass to Nate for the first goal was sick. The 2nd line was a bit non-existent but I think that is going to take a little time to build the offensive chemistry. Loved what I saw from the 3rd line and especially from Colton and Wood. Didn’t realize how good Colton was on the PK which was a pleasant surprise. As for Bo, he did look a bit off but don’t think it had anything to do with the preseason hit. Guys just have off nights. Georgiev was phenomenal as well. Kind of misplayed the puck on that 2nd goal but lets not kid ourselves, that goal was 100% Nate’s fault and should’ve never happened. I get what Nate was trying to do with 10 secs left in the period but it certainly backfired.
All in all, great start to the season and solid win on the road against a very good team.

Gorgie looked amazing! I'm so excited to his play this season with a familiar defense in front of him. The defense was a bit rough in the beginning but definitely tightened up towards the 2nd and 3rd. But most importantly, MOOOOOOOOOOOOSSSSSSSSSSSSEEEEEEEEEE!!! NO GRASSY FIELDS AND BABBLING BROOKS FOR THIS MOOSE, HE WANTS SOME HARDWARE!!!
