Sadly, this group doesn't have a good enough 12th F in their system. Woody should go back to 11-7, and utilize his "strong spine" where he has 1 of the big 3 on ice at all times at C and run:

Enough with the whining about the system. Lack of effort, which has been the main culprit in half the games, has nothing to do with systems.
Coaching decisions lost the series against Vegas. And now this disaster. This guy needs to be gone.
They need to go back to the system they played last year!

Team relies too much on pp goals.. if they somehow dont score in the first 10 mins of the 1st period they just give up and expec the top 6 to win it somehow. Every team that plays against oilers know who theyre up against and put more effort on defense and offense. Broberg reads the ice better and makes safer plays compared to Desharnais. All vinny brings is size and has no IQ making good plays and doesnt even take shots from blue line. Lot needs to be fixed and this "take care of the days business" strategy isnt making any difference. Win 1 lose 2.. no consistency. You have 3 100 point players sorrounded by other big name forwards yet we play with no urgency or compete against teams that dont have the same calibre of players

How does this guy even talk about finding chemistry when his starting line is different every game, then he has the blender out by the 2nd period every night as well. Start of the year you need to give guy’s minimum 5 games to start jelling before you move people around, especially the top 6. You put random lines out against other teams top 6 that have been playing on the same line for 3 years, of course you get toasted ffs
