I'm from Edmonton, and I got to fly to Toronto for a work competition, and we got to go to the game in one of those skyboxes that are only on two sides of the arena. As soon as the goalie did that I yelled "If YOU'RE A GOALTENDER"…
Fun time. There were two of us lowly Oilers fans, fully decked, a couple flames fans, a few sens fans, a few Leafs fans, and a Canuck fan. A Nova scotian who was at her first nhl game, and a bunch of others. It was really cool hearing the Leafs crowd.
as a stars fan, when i saw klingberg and domi go to the leafs i had a moment of sympathy. while domi has been improving, i figured he’d be a little misused or overrated, but he’s figuring it out. on the other hand, im glad the stars let klingberg go in free agency because he’s just not working anymore. it even showed in the playoffs between the stars and wild – the stars were lighting up their former teammate. so when i saw him go to the maple leafs, i was so confused why a team trying to improve decided to sign a guy so clearly on a downward trajectory. you guys are in a tough spot, treliving seems like a moron. i have no idea what you do if this season isn’t a success.
