Miss the good old days of the B’s vs. the Whale. Although it brings back memories, I feel like it’s a slap in the face. Carolina needs to focus on its own brand and not leech off the past. Canes have nothing to do with the Whalers.
They probably can’t sell enough Canes jerseys, so they gotta resort to this crap.
If anything, it brings more attention to the fact that hockey in Carolina is more of a fad, and there should be a team back in Hartford. When the Canes start to really lose you’ll see the massive amount of bandwagoners slip into the shadows and disappear.

I live in CT and have a whalers hat. I get stopped by every other older man commenting on it. I moved here a few years after they left, but they are a proud part of our history. Still have the whalers banners up at the XL center, next to UConn and the Wolfpack.
