Oilers need to do the work, then the results will come. Just look at Vancouver. The team is working for each other like a team has to. Oiler need to build a team, right know it’s to individual.

To the fans of Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto, or any other butthurt poverty team :enjoy your autumn.. and early Christmas season too. Enjoy laughing at the oilers as much as you feel you can.
I have absolute faith in this team as it stands. There is some sort in of collective psychological dysfunction turning these results out and I can’t imagine it feels very fun to be in that right now. It might not happen like turning a switch, but it will come soon. Multiple wins in a row, dominant stretches and they’ll climb back into the standings. This team will make the playoffs. We will beat you when it hurts you the most. You will fall victim to a truly superior hockey machine when that time comes. So.. enjoy your great starts (namely Vancouver) you have absolutely earned it. Just tread lightly…. When the roles are flipped in 6 months, we will look back to these time here and take numbers for the degree in which we will piss on you all when you’re down.
I am a fan of good hockey and support Canadian teams. Just odd that many Oiler fans are very anti-Canadian, but not surprised if you broaden the scope outside of hockey.
For the Oilers San Jose is the perfect team to regain some confidence against if you lose to the worst team in hockey history (so far) then you have a serious problem.

This team has been skating by with two of the best players for years… and these guys score so much they have hidden the ailing defense which has always been a huge leak …. now that leak is a swimming pool and the offense isn't bailing it out. It's not a puzzle at all…. worst defense by every metric ~ and zero learning from the video evidence. Same mistakes every year… and the fundamentals do not improve.

The Oilers boots are slow and not quick. They get beat to the pucks constantly. Slow players are 93, 25, 73, 5, 2, 29, 10.

If you're above a 3-2 ot win you're not a functional, normal hockey team.
Campbell is at best a backup to a #1 that handles most of the games. Skinner has potential but unfortunately he is not being coached well. Woodcroft changed up some of the systems this year and it clearly is not working, and instead of waiting for the new systems will come around he needs to get back to what was working.

Canucks had a slow start to this game but have dominated this Oilers team all season, amazed how this commentator made it seem like the start of the game was the whole game, and the oilers dominated and just let the opponent back in the game at the end. Keep thinking that. Oilers are only a 2 man team and those 2 are not scoring, simple as that. A team like Vancouver with talented players in all positions, like they have shown over and over now, have zero trouble dispatching this oilers team
The shots were 19-7 when the Canucks were up 3-1 and Jay called a timeout to point that fact out while berating his team like a goof – not 20-6 shots. lol say anything to make it seem better
