  1. Totally clean hit. Either NHL hockey is a hitting game or it’s not. This was a textbook hit within the rules.

  2. I gotta disagree with Daneyko….saying he didnt look good. He looked great laying there. GO TROUBA!!!

  3. Hits like this happen so infrequently nowadays, players are getting a false sense of security. Did he really think he was going to skate unscathed 5 feet in front of the goalie, with his head down no less, and not face the consequences?

  4. The devils going after cuylle after the hit because they know they don’t want the smoke with trouba 😂

  5. Devils fans be complaining about Trouba hits but are fine with Stevens hits 🤡🤡🤡

    Both throw clean hits

  6. He Devil’s fans remember Scott Steven’s hits??? Must have a short memory I guess. Keep your heads up.

  7. Devils fans all season “Rangers only beat bad teams”

    They’re right.

  8. The NHL rulebook (and common sense) says that when an official blows his whistle the play stops there, unless you're the Rangers. Then, they reversed a well-deserved 5-minute major because…see above. Still not enough in home rink #2 to put the Devils across the finish line. I was a Scott Stevens fan, always hoped he'd be a Ranger someday, and our captain has a long way to go to equal the destruction old #4 unleashed on the league.

  9. I would never compare Steven's to Trouba. Trouba doesn't go for a player's head like Steven's did time and time again. Take your blinders off and watch some of his hits objectively. He was a head hunter! Elbow and shoulder always made point of contact to a player's head! Then he would go back to the bench with a big smile on his face like he was proud of his accomplishment.

  10. New Jersey fans were cheering like mad fools when Stevens was trying to end peoples careers.

  11. Always a wise move to jump the only rookie on the ice instead of the guy who bundled your player with a clean hit that you were so appalled by

  12. Dude shouldn't have cut so close to the net but trouba ALWAYS throws such high hits. He starts with the shoulder and then pops the elbow up. Scum of a player

  13. It's amazing that Trouba is able to get away with his headhunting. All he does is target opponent's heads.

  14. Playing the man with a clean shoulder-to-shoulder check the best way to eliminate the scoring opportunity there.

  15. A Perfect hit, clean and hard. Players need to acknowledge good hits and not just throw down, it just makes them look even more weak whenever they do.

  16. tough play, the puck is in his feet and he just gets cleaned out. you gotta be aware at all times in hockey, especially at that level
