    Your passion for the Sacramento Kings would make you the tried and true Kings number 1 fan. Keep it up!

    From my point of view, the Sacramento Kings failed miserably during the offseason to acquire defensive players. So far, this season the Sacramento Kings still trying to fit a square (poor defensive team) into a circle (elite or even decent defensive team). It is an impossible task when you don't have the defensive or 2-way players in the first the place. For now, with the current Sacramento Kings roster, the only way to win is to let that offense score a lot of points and hope it is enough.

    There are several reasons the Sacramento Kings lost this game. But, I'll focus on why the Golden State Warriors won this game.
    First, Steph of course with his usual Curry-like performance. Second and most important, his supporting cast were amazing, defensively and offensively. There are at least three 2-way players here that they can put on Fox. It did not slow down Fox but, the most important thing is that the Warriors don't need to put Curry on Fox thereby saving his legs do his Curry-like performance in crunch time. For the Sacramento Kings, it is important to wear down Curry but, it is difficult to win if the defensive players assigned to guard Curry cannot score – it only makes Curry laugh and not play defense at all.

    It's only 2 games into the season but, the Sacramento Kings allowing 50% opponent field goal percentage is a sign of a very poor defensive team. In this statistical category, there is a big gap between the Sacramento Kings and Golden State Warriors. Defense is a habit, natural defensive or 2-way players have it consistently. Offensive players?

    Getting garbage time baskets is not going toe to toe, I know kings made it interesting but that’s because warriors started playing not to lose and was turning to ball over and the refs gave kings a whistle for like 10 straight possessions

    Fox Monk Vezenkov Murray Sabonis starting and finishing is worth a try. Let Monk run with Fox as they have fun and understand each others game. This lineup is intimidating from the start and these 5 (and Lyles) probably perform the best under 4th quarter pressure. Colby and Lyles might be the best "sparks off the bench" with Monk starting and Sasha's plus minus this game was actually a net positive despite his physical limitations. He is used to delivering under pressure

    Even defensively, is that starting lineup worse than the current one? I don't think so

    Something DRASTIC needs to change with the starting lineup based on what we've seen in the playoffs for this team to be a contender and not perennial first or second round exit.
