Do they have to disclose that to anybody legal? Could they just say it was an employee just so they don’t have to say it was Bedards’ mom? Would they not prefer that optic (and probably Perry himself) versus having the very shiny new toy after turfing every staff and player involved with the previous sex scandal be involved in some kinda weird teammate banging mom thing happening on the professional stage. If they’re trying to start a new generation that’s past all the scandal, then having a teammate be in a scandal with the phenoms mom sounds much worse for the future of their image than an employee in a weird way…

You’re all assuming he got physical with someone, but they outright said there’s no criminality. Even shoving someone is technically assault. My money is on saying some offside shit. Given that Perry is a hockey bro through and through, I’d bet it was a black guy.
What I’m wondering is, if the Hawks don’t ever disclose this situation and Perry’s alleged offense isn’t made public, then how can another franchise judge whether or not he’d be a liability on their team?
If it never comes out, it’s kinda hard for the other 31 franchises to justify that he should never play again. What’s stopping any other team signing Perry in the future?
They said that it wasn’t criminal, so that leaves out 90% of what is suggested here…
