So whos out. We have a crowded line up as is. Now Burgers called up?🤷♂️
LGRW
Patrick Kane gives us another player on Perrons level or better
1 year 2.75 million. No problem
Kane AND Stamkos!!?!!!!??? Damn we making a run
Can't wear 12. Can't wear 18. Can't wear 16. It's gonna be a even number.
I have to believe Stevie Y is not going to giving 100% guaranteed money to Kane if he's got a bum hip.
Jovanowski
all could change when he starts playing again so pay isnt even in the conversation yet!
Yet another HOF hero suffers and grinds and weeps his way through a last USO tour of a season. NO ONE comes back from this surgery. Prediction: 9 goals. 24 assists. 6 tons of tears.
My whole family loves you D-Mac!!! Michigan man 4real ✨🙌
This signing with the gain of alex is bringing me hull shanny and chelios vibes .. Here we go HOCKEYTOWN💫
As far as the injury… Kane has to think he'll be effective and able to come back from the surgery. And he'd know best. Otherwise he tries to maximize the term and money, right? I feel that he's betting on himself and I'm all for it!! Not saying we just got 2010 Kane, but even a 60-70% Kane is better than a lot of guys on the roster.
Even if Kane plays three games and then he's done, his contract goes on LTIR which comes off the cap.
BFD 🙄
Low risk high reward signing. If he sucks, he’s gone at the end of the year. Small cap hit, potential for great things with DeBrincat. He may not be as fast as he was, but his hands are still good, and his hockey IQ is there. Players like Raymond are going to greatly benefit from Kane’s knowledge
Raymond-Larkin-Veleno
Debrincat-Compher-Kane
That's a very workable first and second line
Chronto😆😆😆
Doesnt move my needle but lets see. Im going back to my Coney dinner
Larkin is out ve N.Y and Chicago. Thats why Berggren is in
Kane had 92 points in 78 games in 21-22
Id take a 40 year old kane wth two bad hips over Ras, he's a scrub. Another Holland bust
This is about to be good or bad. It was kinda writing on the wall he was going to choose the red wings. He’s stated before how he loves debrincat
Hope Kane gets more than a handful of games in so we can say two of the best US forwards once played in Detroit.
Modano and Kane.
Should Sprong give up his #88?, or better yet Kane would be best to select another number.
Rasmussen sucks lol Kane is definitely more valuable than a 6'6 220lb pillow
D-Mac sounds silly comparing artificial disc replacement in the cervical spine to partial hip replacement as it applies to playing hockey.
7:22 The salary cap doesn't work like that, 3 mil in cap space at trade deadline doesn't give you a 12 mil dollar player. Wth are you talking about here…🤯
Love this, high hopes for Kane and the Wings! Now…go get Zerdov!
Worse case you get a great coach for the young guns
when i woke up this morning, i didn't think I'd see Dmac talking about how Kaner was going to play for Detroit
I heard that Marchand of the Bruins cama back from that surgery???
Is Darren ok?
I'll be surprised if Kane finishes the season.
WHY???? Coming off of a career ending surgery for some. I'm to believe that there isn't any other player, a younger player, available?
Kane is a streetwise dude. I think he'll play okay if he can keep outta the rough stuff. That will be a challenge, as his new role will require him drawing in markers, to free up the other guys, so he can slot those passes. I don't see him being a 20 goal a season guy, but I do see him being near enough a point a game, and if he gets 30+ games for the Wings he'd be happy. Hence, Detroits forwards will be scoring more goals.
I DON'T get your argument. You're projecting Patrick to play at a level he played a few years ago BEFORE the surgery and saying that he's going to be more worth a guy today. Well in that case the Lions should sign up Megatron and Barry Sanders because if they can produce at the same level in points that they did, well shit, on paper that is looking like a win. Patrick ISN'T going to put up those numbers, 20 goals or 55 points. If you think he's going to put up half of those numbers, I can tell you've never played sports. You've never suffered a serious injury and had to come back from serious surgery to being half as good as you were before it. I've blown both of my ACL's, each took a year to recover or so, one less, but I was 18 and 23 when they happened. I'm 40 now and maybe it's because I'm not an athlete who can take time off to fully heal while still getting paid, but time takes a toll.
Yzerman following the Scotty Bowman playbook
As long as that money is not guaranteed I’m all for it but if he gets injured or he can’t play and we got a Pam all of that that’s just idiotic!
You can’t throw money at something and hope it works when you spend money you gotta make sure it pays off !!
I think signing him to a two year deal wouldn’t have been that big of a risk considering his talent level. He was hurt last year and still put up respectable numbers. I’m thrilled he’s here, but I would’ve liked to see a 2yr deal. His recovery by year two would be a lot better.
