only in the NHL do the rules change based on score and period. You hear phrases like "the even up call" , "he hasnt earned that call yet" or "the whistles are buried deep in this period". In the NFL, a face mask is a face mask. but in the NHL, its who committed the penalty and how deep in the game it is. You cant grow the game if people cant understand the rules.
we could blame reff all we want but we had powerplay and did not get goal vs worst pk team it would of been winable game but nope the powerplay still sucks

That was just trash defense from Karlsson. Why is he holding O'Reilly's stick and letting himself get dragged out position there? That deserved a delayed penalty on the Penguins, if anything. Last I checked holding the stick is an infraction. He's limiting O'Reilly's movement (who was trying to get onside), which directly led to the contact with Crosby.
Karlsson should have been maintaining his gap and containing Forsberg. He was the lone defenseman on the ice.
That was a display of poor defensive awareness, plain and simple.
And honestly, EK's cost this team 4 goals against in the last 3 games. It's becoming a real problem. Pettersson can only cover so much for him.
I love the player and am grateful he's here, but he needs to clean it up if this team is gonna rack up some W's.
On another note, wtf is up with the disbanded DOC-Eller-Z line? They are a 6GF-3GA line. Put Hinostroza, Puustinen or Pitlick with Malkin and use the 3rd line that's brought you success?

Jarry has been good but i have ellers for the helmet hahha. Glad doc is getting love here, other places they are bashing him a bit. I think the kid has stepped up and played well on three different lines this season. How many other players can and have done that? Get vinny in the line up some where over carts and harkins plz

Every team is the victim of crap calls and dumb refs its just how it is whats a piss off when its so blatantly obvious and they just want to get the game over with and they are too lazy to make calls, like last week Smith got hit from behind against Buffalo, no call the game changed after that just saying, every team will be a victim of bettmas pet zebras
