  1. During the Nucks Cup run how many games did they lose 1-0 or 2-0. Luongo faced the same issue in both FLA and Van.

  2. You should do the Craig rivet trade to San Jose for josh Georges and Max Pacioretty, who then got traded for Tatar, Suzuki and a pick… You ripped on the Canadiens for the McDonagh trade, it’s time you give them some love

  3. Hey Steve, I wonder what the name of this video will be next year. "How the Calgary Flames won the Roberto Luongo Trade", perhaps?

  4. Steve! You're missing a huge chunk of this trade if you look at it from the Canucks perspective. The trade tree starts with Trevor Linden and ends with Jacob Markstrom leaving as a free agent to CGY

  5. This isnt the big tree I'm talking about but if you guys ever revistited this trade tree, it starts with the Lindros Tree (Via Matthias Vias Bertuzzi, via Hextall)

  6. The laugh is the attendance record for Florida. There was a few years after the trade, attendance dropped and Phoenix actually had a few more people attending games. And this was right when ownership of Phoenix was looking to relocate the team.

  7. Memory lane: Luongo’s 1st game back to Vancouver as a Panther, the crowd shouts Luuuu after every save he makes. He got one of the 3 stars, saluted the crowd, we ate it up. Good game, don’t even remember who won, I think it was everyone.

  8. You should backtrack to the Linden trade from the Canucks to the Islanders. Cataclysmic for Canucks fans at the time but it eventually netted key players for 2 different cycles of Canucks teams

  9. The phobic detective congruently dislike because bulldozer comparably annoy until a bustling gazelle. torpid, gorgeous slime

  10. You need to go back to the original Luongo trade with New York. While many viewed it as a terrible trade for the isles, they ended up with quite a bit out of it…and also traded the pick that ended up being brad Marchand to Boston lol

  11. Both the Schiender and Luongo trades looked terrible when they happened. But honestly we easily won both if them looking back at it. Too bad we couldn't keep Marky.

  12. You should do a Trevor Linden trade tree cuz doesn't that trade tree end with Markstrom leaving Vancouver?

  13. I thought this might be a tree cause of Shawn Matthias but he left in FA to Toronto who traded him to Colorado. So nope. It's a tree somewhere but not part of this one.

  14. Tbh I dont think there is a clear cut winner from this trade. I just think it was a solid deal for both teams. Markstrom has been a late bloomer and has worked out well for the Nucks. If Luongo was younger when he came back he would still be playing.

  15. What does Steve think of this trade a year later when Markstrom is on the flames. As of right now they're looking like real contenders and have forwards who are putting in work, they could make it farther than Luongo did the panthers…

  16. Fun fact about Matthias: He was originally acquired by Florida for Todd Bertuzzi. Who did Florida trade for Bertuzzi? Roberto Luongo.

  17. Luongo retired, Markstrom signed with Calgary, Matthis signed with Toronto, and Anthony stopped after Vancouver, so nothing else left on this tree. However, if this is only part of a bigger tree, maybe that tree is still growing, just not this particular branch.
