It's like a bunch of 140lb guys flying around and dropping like soccer players if they get looked at wrong. 75% of these wimps wouldn't been in the league in the late 90's and below. I liked real hockey. You know? Perfect mix of skill, physicality, speed and toughness and Yes animosity. Real rivaleries were freakin awesome. Now it's all talk. Ow you hurt my arm!!! Dirty hit by Kane,buddy had already got rid of the puck and Kane never tried for it and he should have stopped. He took advantage of a vulnerable player, when he should have backed off
Obviously a dirty hit and should have been a penalty but who the fuck skates to the boards like that.

If you wanna make a small argument that the wild player has to do a little bit of a better job protecting himself there I'll give that to you but at the same time it was numbers all the way down not a late spin at the last second when Kane was already committed to the hit that's should at the very least be a 2 minute minor and even more so I believe the correct call should be a suspension but hey the nhl refs and player safety committee seems to get it wrong more than they get it correct so at this point I'm not shocked still unbelievable how often they stumble and bumble things up get your shit together nhl I've been a fan of the game since about the age of 5 years old back in 1985 and your lying to yourself nhl if you don't think there's been a long long time problem with your officiating and player safety suspension protocol I'm not saying it's a easy job but you must to better because you have failed at it for many years
Kane should've been penalized. Thats a late check. Either a charge or a boarding call but that is not a hockey play.
