  1. Fire the goalie coach. How many goalies we blame and not blame the only common thing that hasn’t changed through all off them.

  2. Don't know much about Karel but look at his stats.. theyre not good. Yes he's played for a bad team but still.

  3. Coyotes fan here.
I would not advise the Oilers sell the farm for Vejmelka. He is not a better goalie than the Oilers bad D. He is not going to cover enough mistakes to make the cost worth it and while he was solid last year, he has been subpar this year (-3.2 gsax. 3.72gaa, .899sv%). Further, the Coyotes were splitting time evenly with Ingram & Vejmelka until recently, they would be in a far better playoff position had they been giving Ingram the majority of starts early. They are 12-6-0 with Ingram and 3-7-2 with Vejmelka.

1st, +3rd, + Broberg sounds pretty nice but 3 more years of Campbell at $5m is such a hard sell. Armstrong has been much about not hamstringing the team with bad, long-term, contracts (He would be like the anti-Holland). So, as much of a haul as that would be, I just don't know that it is enough to deal with the Campbell contract. While the 1st would be attractive to any GM the 3rd is low value considering the Coyotes have 17 2nds and 3rds in the next 3 years. So, IF something like this would happen it would likely need to be 1st+Broberg+NHL ready youngster.

If I was Edmonton I would observe the pattern. The Coyotes have long had good goaltending coaches that have done well to resurrect or advance goalie careers. As many Edmonton fans have suggested, your best next play would be to move on from your goalie coach, find the best one you can and move mountains to get him to Edmonton.

  4. This. I have been saying this since 2022. Holland should have pursued Vejmelka instead of overpaying for a backup goaltender. Why he did not do that is a mystery to me. Sure, Vejmelka does not have any playoff experience. Still, his save percentage is far better than when Campbell was with the Leafs, and Vejmelka has an exemplary save percentage, considering he's with a team that has been threatened with relocation for years. Holland could have saved a couple of million in signing Vejmelka, but no, he had to overpay for what turned out to be a backup netminder who is now playing in Bakersfield.

  5. Skinner isn't No.1 goalie, I don't understand you guys thinking that he is. You guys gotta stop smoking that funny stuff

  6. Meanwhile in San Jose …they have 2 capable goaltenders who have stolen games for that team this year. Just sayin. Move Campbell , Broberg & either Ceci or Foegle and if necessary a draft pick for Mackenzie Blackwood. They can burry Campbell in the minors and reap the benefits of a 3 possibly 4 for 1 trade.

  7. None of the reasons you state are about him being a good goalie except the vague idea of potential.
