    I remember reading that there’s a loophole where teams can demote any players who are considered injury call-ups during the holiday break to not have their contracts count against the cap for those few days. Not sure if that’s what the Caps are doing here, but these moves don’t necessarily mean we’re done giving them NHL time.

    Paper transaction possibly too. Save salary cap space.

    I heard that all the players who were recalled had to be sent down by Saturday at midnight or else they would have to pass through waivers. Just a paper transaction to me. GMBM is good at riding the fine print.
