While I do love the goal horn in St. Louis–the fact that it's a fog horn and not two train horns playing a tritone apart–and I like that the rhythm is right, I LOVE the fact that we have an organist play. I'd rather hear an organ, a real-life organ, play after a goal than Song 2, Zombie, or whatever the other overplayed tunes are. Just one thing–forget that the sound isn't completely accurate, there is NO FUCKING WHISTLE at the end of the tune. I've been to the games, it's not there.
I don't know if there is anymore, but there used to be this exact whistle at the end of the song. Back after the lockout when there were 5 people in the building you could hear it very clearly.
Winnipeg isn't exactly new… They were a relocated team (Atlanta Thrashers). What most people consider a new team is an expansion team, like the San Jose Sharks were, back in 1990.

The whistle was always there back when I lived in St.Louis in the 90s/early 2000s.

This is most definitely an authentic goal horn recording. But it's from 2001-02, not 2011-12
