Ive calmed down a bit since earlier this AM after the Kraken game. This is a 14-20-0 team, not an 0-30-0 team. So we know they can win games, and they’ve beat good teams.
This season is already done, but I am not full panic mode questioning if we have the right core to turn the corner. I still have faith in most of the core pieces. Improved coaching and a few key roster tweaks bringing in the right players for specific roles will go a long way.
I have faith for 2024 (I think)
Let’s not forget how middling the Canuck’s were last year. With the right moves teams can make a big leap in one year – Poulin gives me a lot of confidence, honestly more so than Andlauer and Staios, Poulin knows a lot and he’s been successful as a player, very successful. I think that means a lot. His experience as a critical analyst for over a decade is a big plus.

I think I would have asked the NHL if I could be absent from the All-Star game this year. I know they want a representative from each team but ………..
Yall know I love Parker Kelly, but it’s true that with this roster, he should absolutely not be the top performer in any game.
Brady should publicly come out and say "I don't deserve to go" and take the fine. That would be accountability for the all around terrible play by him this team.
The reporter asked Parker Kelly about blocking shots and the players are always going to say something positive. Those post game interviews are so meaningless to the players, no one wants to do them so they are just saying the right thing to get it over with.
Went to see my home team play in Berlin yesterday and they got sensed to bad. They are currently first among all German teams, yet they were absolutely dominated and even a 2 man advantage couldn't change that. It was so frustrating to watch! Thankfully Berlin just had a bad day, Ottawa has a bad year… and yet I'm still invested.
Send no one to the all-star game. None of them deserve it right now.
I would move Kelly up to the 2 line he is playing well, given him more time, swap him for Norris, and can't wait till Joseph is back, need him back in the line up asap
The cap space is our true enemy. You can't sit out a major player in the press box for a game, you can't call up from Belleville as you like to. Pinto and Joseph are returning soon, so regardless need to free up some cap, but to just free enough space isn't enough. You need extra cap space to make better decisions. So a major piece will need to be traded eventually, Chychrun or Norris, one of them or both got to go unfortunately. Time to shake things up and show no one is safe anymore the new era is now being implemented.

Why was Pillsy even surprised that it was not Matthew Tkachuk who was selected to rep Florida ? Matthew Tkachuk has not even been a former shadow of himself this yr, not even close. He's been just a tad better than his brother this yr at best. So ofc he was not the one selected to rep Florida.
I agree with Pillzy. A big issue with the Sens is their inability to break into the zone on a powerplay. Watching other teams around the NHL on a PP they are all charging the zone and being aggressive to break in with the puck making quick hard passes and shots to get goals. Ottawa can't even get to the blue line and dump the puck into the zone and when they do I find they always play the game of pass along the boards back to the blue line and never move in closer to the net while passing to have a better shot on net.
All star games should only be held in warm weather climates for the players sakes

My observation with the Sens is that they make out with the puck before they shoot, basically the golie saying, are you done & have is ready to make the safe,

actually found myself laughing at the senators at points, you can literally see them about to get scored on 30 seconds before it happens. Was embarrassing wearing my sens jersey in that crowd last night. But would highly recommend a game I’m Seattle what a great building to watch hockey.
As things stand id be ok with considering a trade for ANY player in our entire system. The "core" have turned into absolute handbags.We are terrible. It's worse than it's been in 6 years.Brady should be ashamed going to the Allstar game. I'd rather send someone from the lady's team. Im just in a pit of despair with this lads.
