It’s going to be a couple of shitty seasons. Buckle the fuck up boys
Not our night. A lot of bad breaks, Vasy was a bit off, and the injuries have piled up. I liked what Lileberg brought with the physicality, and Thompson seemed to get more comfortable as the game went on. We need all the points we can get, but after the Kings at home our schedule gets significantly easier on paper, so that’ll be the time to see what this team is.
As much as it sucks. Stamkos has declined hopefully it’s just a down year for Vasy. Once again Kucherov deserves so much better
Honestly, do we sell at the deadline and build around the younger core with draft picks or hope the old guys can turn it around.
Got two playoff contenders coming in next week. If we can’t perform against them…be ready for a sell-off everyone.

IDC I’m still a ride or die Bolts fan. We looked good tonight. SO MANY soft goals though. It’s aggravating but we have a good stretch of sub par teams coming up to hopefully gain points
I liked what I saw in Lilleberg, he could develop into a good d man. Liked the old-school center ice hit he had.
I love Vasy and he was obviously huge for us in the Cup years, but it feels like he really hasn’t been “on” for a long time now. He shows occasional flashes of his vintage self but he hasn’t been consistently great at any point in the last few seasons.
I know he’s coming off a surgery so I don’t expect him to be 100% himself right now, but I wonder how much of it is the recovery and how much of it is just him not really having it like he used to.
The fact I knew it was all downhill after scoring 21 SECONDS IN. We look so cooked. I can’t blame them when our goalie can’t get a single big save. No wonder they get dejected.
A no call on an obvious trip in the middle of the ice, leading to a flukey empty net goal just makes it even more disappointing. That’s been the MO all year.
The team has picked up its play, the goal tending has not.

Vasy just isn’t Vasy. Not making the difficult ones, not making the easy ones. Seeing a lot Stammer slander, seems a bit reactionary. Yeah, he’s lost a step. They all make shitty passes or get their pockets picked. It just happened to him at a time that threw salt on the wound.
Ya know what. I don’t even blame Vasy, I blame Cooper. There’s no way Vasy should have been in that net after the 4th goal. And then he gives up a goal on the only shot he faces through the majority of the 3rd. If that game is 4-3 with a TB PP there with a few minutes left, who knows what happens. Don’t care if he doesn’t want to come out, he hasn’t been nearly good enough this season to be above getting pulled
Your 9.5 million dollar goaltender can’t finish with a .778sv%. Hope this game serves as a wake up call for all the delusional people who want us to make the playoffs just to get nuked by anyone we play.
Lilliberg and Thompson looked good, Raddysh looked terrible (as per) and we were again forced to watch Sheary have less impact than ABB or Watson for 2 million dollars x3 years and a NTC.
Damn i feel bad for Kuch, has the whole franchise on his back. Fucking completely underrated…anyways we sucked and on to the the next game we go⚡️

At this point, it is clear the future needs to be the focus. Point, Hagel, Paul, Sergy, Cernak are probably untouchable in any kind of trades, I think Mikey and Jeannot are good energy bottom 6 guys, Stammer and Heddy are gonna have to sign team friendly deals if they are gonna stay. If they can’t retool in the coming 2 seasons to convince Kuch it’s worth ending it prime here, then move on and get what value you can. I think with the cap increase and if they can get some of these contracts down, JBB can get them back in contention quickly.
I mean Jesus, up until the 3rd period I was gonna say we put up a fight so far but I mean holy fuck this shit was bad. Only team I hate losing to more than Boston is Toronto, but this just made my skin boil.
Not only that, I’m sorry but we got some asshats in here saying Vasy is shit or trade away Stamkos, because if thats the case yall aint watching the same team I’ve been watching all these years.

It’s time Cooper doesn’t give in to Vasy’s desire not to want to be pulled. After the 4th goal – you have to pull him.
Whatever is wrong with Vasilevskiy, we’re not going to resolve it by riding him into the ground. Johansson should be getting a lot more starts, including in « important » games. It’s been 20 games for him already—Vasilevskiy is not going to be back to elite form in a few games. So let him rest and only play half the games. If he starts getting back into form, then treat him like it and maybe we salvage the season, but for now, the worst thing we can do is force a massive load on a recovering goalie who isn’t even getting wins in a lost season.
Also, I don’t want to hear that this is on the defense. This game was almost evenly played everywhere but in net, even though 3 of the top 4 are out. Everyone on defense has really stepped up, and while it was never going to be perfect, it was as good as it needed to be.
We sold everything we had for the cups and third finals run, and unfortunately the moves JBB has made since then haven’t been good at all.
All three of the big extensions (Cirelli, Serg, and Cernak) all look bad. Sheary hasn’t been a good addition.
And unfortunately, we’re not getting the cheap signees that Boston and Toronto are getting, because we’re not a contender anymore.
So we need to retool. Get some shooters around Kuch, maybe bring in another playmaker for the second line. Then retool the whole defense.

Shit is going down during the trade deadline in the coming weeks because no way this team makes the playoffs. Hopefully JBB can atone for his embarrassingly bad offseason and recoup some assets because holy fuck this team is cursed.
I feel like Coop will go down in flames with Vasy playing like this if he has too.

I’ve been saying for awhile now that JBB just doesn’t seem like a competent GM. He doesn’t make good draft picks and other than Hagel and Eyssimont his transactions haven’t been great. Obviously the Jeannot deal is the most egregious but DeHaan, Sheary, Motte are all just bad pickups. I hope these AHL kids can help because right now it seems like we can’t draft or sign for shit
JBB and Blashil need to be fired this off season and I’ll call that a success for the year

I will continue to repeat that paying sergachev was a colossal mistake. He’s just not good.
As much as it hurts to say as I really liked eyebrows, Paul really hasn’t done much since he was traded. Is he good value contract wise yeah, but he has been borderline invisible last season and this one. It seems like once he signed his extention and got comfortable he isn’t the same player.
I don’t understand the Vassy hate. Still one of the best in the NHL on any team even if he’s not playing superhuman as of late.
Also did we ever figure out exactly why Coop got mad after that one goal?
