Alrighty. BG's mad scientist master plan is this. He's not going to tank on purpose but he is using the NMCs to slowly let vets and fourth liners go and bring kids up to get mentored by them before they leave while also securing us decent draft picks hopefully to bolster the pipeline and maybe get another Faber-esque stud right out of the draft.. This should coincide with the foreign kids coming over 1 or 2 at a time over the next 3 years and also signing Kaprizov again once our Russian investments get here. Then we are going to be young and fast and skilled. It'll be a metamorphosis before our very eyes. There never was any realistic potential to win until the heavy buyout penalties are over and he knew this 100%.
Think about it, next year Goski is gone and Merrill the year after, bring up Lambos and possibly Hunt. Duhaime and Maroon are gone most likely. Bring in one of the foreigners and perhaps Beckman to play 4th line. And so on and so forth the next few years. You feel me?

People say just tank. How does a person and especially a professional athlete that strives on competition actually go out and play to lose? That shouldn’t even be in their vocabulary. Or is it just an expression people use because a team is struggling and they want the better draft choice? It takes a team, not just one person. All in my opinion of course 😊
