  1. Winnipeg can bite donkey wang.
What's goin on in that cluster fuck called the Minnesota Wild? I have no idea. They keep going this way, Karpizov is going to go to another team and win his ring. Crosby's getting old and the Penguins just might start looking to Kaprizov to fill his role if Minnesota's not careful in the next 3 years.

  2. Top spot in the league
30 games straight keeping their opponents to 3 goals or less, (18 straight @ 2 or less right now,)
9 players with 20+ points, several others going to catch that very soon

The jets talent is underrated for sure. A player like Ehlers has been criminally underused under Paul Maurice, and Blake Wheeler hogged top line minutes when he was long past worthy of them.

Kyle Connor is one of the best goal scorers in the league, he was leading the league when he got hurt.
Hellebyuck is arguably the best goalie in the world, certainly the most consistent among the top goalies.
Dylan Demelo and Morrissey are both in the top 5 Defenseman in the league +/- .
Ehlers is in the top 5 forwards in 5v5 performance since joining the top line.

The rest of the team are all very reliable in what they do. Nino Neidereiter is 12G/12A the guy almost always has 1 for 1 ratio goals and assists its weird. Namestnikov is a steal for a 4th round pick, at 23 points right now playing both PK/PP has played center on the second line and all over the lineup since he's been here.

  3. This team wants to win – not bleeding their lines dry & it's showing

Looked up their salaries – Connor makes $7.1 mil this year. Only 4 players in the $6 mil category, including Hellebuyck @ $6,166,666/ year

They're spending less than $8 mil on 2 goalies

    $2-4 million cap space leftover

This is a real TEAM. Depth.
    Not handing out ridiculous contracts.

Good -hope they can keep it up through Western conference playoffs – somebody out west to take down Vegas!

  4. Well coached, they play intelligent fundamental hockey, stay out of the box, give up very few oddman rushes, well balanced lines, adapt on the fly to play different styles depending on the oppositions style, great overall team D and a steady stable excellent goaltender.

  5. Did you say top in the central division? Yeah. But also number 1 in the league by points and points percentage.

  6. I'm a hurting kings fan, I love, and miss Velardi! Players that are good skaters, great shots, good defensively, but most of all great passers are extremely valuable. He makes everyone else better. GAME ON!!

  7. Yeah, this is all true. The Jets are absolutely dominating pretty much every one – I've been watching them for years now and this is the best they've looked. It's a team thing.

  8. It's still pretty early, but yeah I hope they make it to the final. I'm a NY Rangers fan, as I live in the NYC area, but the Jets have been my favorite Western Conference team for a bunch of years now.

  9. Hold on. Jets lost to StL in the Playoffs. StL then went on to win the Cup that season. So they lost to the #1 team. Then, last season, they lost to VGK – the #1 team. Even though this team has not made deep playoffs runs, they are arguably the #2 team in the league! This team has been elite for many years.
