This was a tough result for a pretty damn good game. We were down three to one and were able to come back with a depleted lineup of both forwards and defenseman.
We were a goalie review, or a crossbar away from stealing this one back. I am honestly pleased to get one point here.
Vanacek sucks. There is no getting around it. He is the worst safe percentage in the league for starting goaltenders. it’s impressive that we are as high as we are in the standings with goaltending that caliber with some of the worst teams in the league.
I wasn’t super pleased with the three men Lindy put on the ice for the overtime, but oh well.
Mercer played out of his mind, although the overtime wasn’t terrific for him.
Lotta grit shown last night By the boyz for sure. Would love to have the Luke turnover back but would more so love a better net minder.
Outside of goaltending, I was super happy with the team’s performance, especially considering how thin the lineup is right now. I was expecting something like the first period of the Canucks game, but they took it to the Bolts.
Willman and Bowers pulled their weight and then some with the way they forechecked while generating some chances here and there. If the team can keep playing like that until some guys return, I still like the Devils’ playoff chances.
Hindsight makes me look at this game and be fine with it.
We clawed back against a pretty good Bolts team, down 3-1 and ended up losing in OT. Can’t be upset about the performance of the skaters.
Goaltending is sub par. As I saw someone else say, VV needs to a sports psychologist. Dude is cooked.

Not mad at all about stealing a point off the Lightning.
A lot of positives last night. We iced 4 skaters last night that started the season in the A. We fought back from a 3-1 deficit and got a point. The top two lines had dominant stretches of zone time and puck possession. If we can play with the same effort when we’re healthy we will win a lot of games.
Can’t be upset. Depleted roster competed well. Had a post and an overturned goal. Walked away with a point.
Tread water until everyone’s healthy.

Lost in the Luke Hughes eating it at the worst possible time, that shot from Glendening was muffin soft. Vitek reacted as such to, but he missed it trying to catch it. Just went right through him.
