What a bunch of bullshit. They should be exluded as a sanction, just as Russia. Everything else is pure hypocrisy.
If Russia can be banned, despite having a considerable impact on the quality of the competition of the tournament, then Israel’s team certainly can too without blinking an eye.
Why does the NHL even give a shit if they don’t let players play in the Olympics.

Regardless of everyone’s (as well as my own) feelings on the subject, I think it’s ridiculous for the NHL to get involved in any matter they’re not involved in. They’ve been perfectly clear in the past that they don’t give a fuck about the IIHF, so just keep doing that.
