Do people actually believe this is a playoff team? We have so many holes it's not even funny our defense is terrible we have 1 goalie who is clearly playing way above what he actually is. I will say Lyon would be a great 2 goalie for us but in no way can he be our lead goalie if we actually want to win and make the playoffs. This team is 2 to 3 years away from competing. Raymond/Seider HAVE to make that next step and we need to spend on a goalie then we can talk about playoffs.

Worried about Lyon's "Chicken Winging" attempts to stop some of those goals, looks like he's got a shoulder injury. Can't ride him this hard forever, especially when defense took the night off.

Horififc second period but very winnable game. We were better in the first and third period and failed to bury on our even strength chances. Ras missing the entire net or veleno just firing it into the chest are ones we probably want back

And before anyone says oh u don't know hockey or ur wrong what a bad fan….I watch every single red wings game, I watch every nhl game I can I have game on my TV and at same time another game on my phone!!! Did anyone catch the sharks vs rangers game tonight???!! Sharks have fewest pts in the nhl and they played there damn hearts out!!! And they won in overtime! Against the rangers!!! I come back a few minutes late into the second after getting my dinner together and we are down 3-2 only to see the 4-2 goal off that absolutely plump and juicy rebound right to the stars player and I was thinking oof that was bad. What happened?
That early goal against in the second period was a failure at pretty much every level of this team.
Coaching – Why was 3rd pair on the ice to start the period in the first place? Awful decision not calling a timeout immediately after as well.
Forwards – Debrincat got beat cleanly on that back check. Need more consistent effort.
Defense – Lalonde definitely deserves heat for starting him in the 2nd but what the HECK was Holl doing in that play he completely abandoned his side of the ice giving Marchmant the easy lane to skate in to get open.
Goaltending – despite the sequence of poor decisions leading up to the shot Lyon should have saved this one 10/10 times.

I was at the game last night. After first period Arena was buzzin. Red Wings were looking good. Then 2nd period started and 2 minutes in everyone was asking did a beer league team come out in place of the Wings?? After the 4th goal on Lyon, during the commercial break he was giving one of the defenseman an earfull before they went back to the bench. Defense left Lyon out to dry. Left him scatter brain mode at at certain point. Add on top of that I lost count of how many shot the Red Wings just sailed WIDE and HIGH. Then goal called back cause of offside challenge. So much sloppy play last night after the first period. One good note was DeBrincant getting a goal finally after a dry run.

The lack of superstars on this team shows. Back in 16 and 17 if they weren't so obsessed with making the playoffs for the 25th year in a row they might've got one those top 3 picks making a big difference on the team now. No draft luck has hurt this rebuild. Mostly mediocre draft picks and free agent signings. Seider is Meh
