  1. Okay, and how would a playoff team fit in 8,7m of Crosbys cap hit? And how bad would that make the EK trade look?
    It will not happen.

For the expansion, there are several cities that could carry a team, Huston, Quebec, New Orleans, etc.

  2. Crosby's not going anywhere. He's already a legend, won 3 cups, guaranteed hall of famer – he has nothing to prove. He'll finish his contract and he'll be in the front office with Mario.

  3. Man….he's only a point-per-game player right now. He's not exactly lighting it up. I don't think he needs to go anywhere to chase another cup. It's a fun idea but to suggest it needs to happen, weird take. Crosby is more chill than Jordan, Brady.

  4. He doesn't need to go anywhere. He's won everything, earned every individual honor. His career is as complete as a career can be.

  5. 88 and 87 would be awsome in Boston…do it Kyle and stick it to the Leafs one more time by doing business with the B's

  6. Or, and this might be crazy. Let him just play the rest of his days in Pittsburgh and stay with just one team, he already has 3 cups. A 4th cup into the twilight of his career piggybacking off a current superstar will make no difference to his legacy.

  7. The idea that Sidney Crosby isn’t already top five lock is a way hotter take than Sid to the B’s. I think that’s indicative of Canadian sports media’s superiority complex: Even the prodigal son has “underachieved” because he did it elsewhere. I’ve gotten to watch Sid do things literally only Sid can do on a nightly basis for half my life. If you haven’t been paying attention because he’s been doing it in the rust belt, that’s your problem.

  8. No way. He’s a Pen for life. I’ll just have to imagine what he could do with talent around him

  9. Doesn't make much sense at all, if you are trading Crosby to chase a cup you are trading him to a team that will have late first round picks and likely also have a limited offering as far as prospects to help a rebuild.

  10. Unless the NHL adds an expansion team in Nova Scotia Crosby should remain a Penguin until he retires. I could absolutely see him becoming a commentator for one of the networks (espn, tnt, etc) one day. Sid the Kid with Gretzky and Biz could be fun.

  11. TSN why are your videos so damn low volume compared to every other video on youtube fix your garbage hire a sound engineer or something jfc

  12. Must be nice to be paid thousands to talk bullshit. Hayes is an idiot Sid is already a top 5 player of all time. And he's following the steps of Mario not fucking Tom Brady 😂😂

Pens window isn't closed. Altho I do think this year is lost with the right moves going into next year they can be a deadly team.

Even this season 2 good weeks and the pens are right there in the mix but the way they've played this year I don't think they have that in them the supporting cast needs a major reset they just haven't worked out

  13. Lol what a thumbnail and comment. And these guys think Toronto is sustainable ot whatever. What a joke. If he thinks this then might as well get McDavid out of Edmonton as well with this logic.

No more teams please. Let's wait 10 or so years… just got 2 new teams…it's competitive and don't need another team epically in a year or 2 we finally get out of salary cap Era and start seeing teams that are built by design and not hammered by this cap. Every other sport they letting owners spend. Hockey owners and nhl are super greedy and don't want to invest in their players. Nhl must get to 100mil by 2030. Make salaries competitive and stop arguing for 500k and saying he is 1mil overpaid. It's ridiclous. Many candain markets will extremely benefit by being able to "overpay" by 3-5 mil to lock in a player…
I think we also need to transition away for betmen for we going into a new Era…
Get the fucking shootout out of the game and make it a 5min 4on4 OT… 8 east 8 west with a wildcard round 8-11 to secure final spot 1 games only…
Win is 2. No more OTL points. Tie is 1. 84 games as well everyone plays at least 2 times. Division 4-5 times. Rest in confrence which prob is just 2-3….
Need to restructure the league and playoffs to keep integrity in the game and have a more competitive akwoldgement because at the end of the year the last 2-3 "missed playoff spots" are extremely marginal and I think a team even 2-4 points off ahold have a wild card playoff round which is just 3 games per confrence which would take a week and you have a nice break for all the playoff teams…

Also little side notes… should have a mandatory Oct 1st start to April 1st. Every team has to play 10 doubleheaders and 2 bye weeks (just 4-5 days). Hockey is a rough sport and double headers are exciting because it really tests a team mentally and that break is so important so teams can recoup and have more time to reinforce let's just say.

I want to see a good product and seeing all teams and players being tested.
Last year 4 teams were 4 points off…

Maybe 8-11 is extreme but at least 1 wild card game… wah det nor ott deserve a game… but Pit buf cgy nsh did… shouldn't be one and done like that…

If you look at standings from 2010 theirs always at least 2 teams that were 2 points off… even with the pts system I mentioned. No team should be getting points for losing and its okay to have a tie in regular season. A game shouldn't be decided by a fucking skills competition… even in soccer it ruins integrity… it's like a tied game in basketball goes to the free throw line or a 1 on 1. It's fuckign stupid and it has nothing to do with hockey.

  14. if they add more teams they need to expand the playoffs and allow more teams in. Make it 5 rounds with the first 2 or 3 rounds best of 5 instead.

  15. The fact that you think Crosby would simply trade teams just for another chance at a cup shows me how little you actually know Crosby.

  16. He needs to retire as a career penguin, there's no reason for him to go anywhere. He's got cups and his legacy – keep the fans happy by keeping him in Pittsburgh.

  17. It was obvious that vegas bought the cup i stopped watching the nhl because how rigged it became and Bettman in his own words said as long hes the chairman the cup will never come back to Canada so explain how exactly is he making that possible?? Rigged games are illegal

  18. I saw the title of this video and did the hardest double-take in my LIFE. Absolutely not. A spectacular player like Crosby staying with a team for his entire career means much more than the barest possibility of another cup.

  19. It seems like I hear Boston get brought up often when veteran players are chasing a cup.

But Boston hasn't won a cup since 2011 right?

Sid makes any team better, but I think he should limit his list to a team thats won something in the last decade or less.
