Powerplay sucks put 97 and 29 on the same line for 5 games.
Put the hammer down on the lackadaisical players that aren’t pulling their weight, the bottom six need to step up 5 on 5, more checks and dump and chase.
I think the idea of mcdavid and Drai separated is good, but it is tough with some of the plays they make to see guys like Nuge, Foeg, Brown constantly not finish. Most good teams have their top players playing with eachother – lightning with Kuch, Stam, Point. Avs with Rant, Mac, Nich. Knights with Eichel and Stone. Leafs with Marner and Matthews for examples.
Oilers should sign gagner at the deadline. He is part of a goal every 2 games! A plus player and you can get him for cheap.
I like his thoughts keep the team together. this team has what it takes.
