  1. I'm stupid, huh? lol True, the Mike Keane jumps to avoid the hit, which was probably not wise; however, regardless of that Hardy's hit is still illegal and a match penalty. Period. It is not illegal to leave your skates to avoid a hit, but it IS illegal to do so to iht an opponent. BOOM!!! Here comes the BOOOM!!!

  2. Not illegal to leave your skates to avoid a hit, but it is illegal to leave one's skates to hit an opponent.

  3. Los Angeles and Montreal are my too favorite teams. Wayne and Roy. Love em.

    P.s. – leafs sucks.

  4. You obviously never saw the hit that Larry Robinson put on Gary Doernhoffer of the Flyers in the 76 Finals. They had to stop the game to repair the boards at the Montreal Forum.

  5. y'all remember that hit, damn but you know what sucked.. he got a penalty for leaving his feet. anyways, if anyone has awesome vintage kings vids or even dvds i would love to have some, I miss Bob Miller being in Dallas now.

  6. i disagree. kariya is about a foot smaller than steven, it was in open ice, and he had his head down. this hit is much better

  7. That was one game man. The series was 1-1 after the stick incident. What happened after that? The Kings couldn't even win one more game lol.

  8. Fuck McSorley and fuck the kings. They should have lost in the conference finals against Toronto if it weren't for Kerry Fraser.

  9. Agreed!Im so p.oed by that!If it wasen't for the stick maybe the Kings could've have won.

  10. I remember this…well into the 2nd period, Habs up 3-0, this was Hardy's first shift of the game. The hit fired the Kings up, and by the end of the 2nd, it was tied.

  11. It can't be the greatest hit ever, as Keane bounced right back up. A real great hit lays someone out cold without drawing a penalty.

  12. That was the hardest NHL post-season ever recorded with alot of overtime periods, and for the Kings to make it that far, and going there for the first time, alot to be excited about.

But whatever, we'll get it this year, Kings team looks to be getting amazing.

  13. Do you think i give a shit about mother fucking opinions!

We were the dominant NHL team in California from 1967-2002.

  14. They didn't have to win the cup for me to enjoy that monster hit. BTY, what have the Habs done since they won that cup? Now take your hating ass back to Anaheim. Welcome home Mark Hardy! Go Kings

  15. What is the hockey culture like in Hollywood? I mean Los Angeles? I take it the Mighty Ducks are the biggest rivals? It's kinda like "Disney" vs. "Hollywood". What are Kings games like? Are there like celebrities in the stands and stuff, like ya see at Lakers' games?

  16. Yeah, a goal scored by each team, wether away or at home sounds like a home goal.Tickets are hard to get though.

  17. LA and Orange County really hate each other, I mean really hate each other…..no love loss here. Kings games are a blast…Duck's games seem more like a family fun-since it's closer to Disneyland and they were once owned by Disney. Since the Kings and Lakers play at the same place, you're constantly reminded it's LA and that championships are expected to be won. But the games at both are a blast….

  18. Keane left his feet first, so hardy just did what he had to do to stay safe, that is a clean hit….it's not, but it is….

  19. @bjdon99 it knocked the glass out with the hit player. i dont think violence is needed to make a hit special

  20. Kings 2012 stanley cup champion! Does that ring a bell to you Montreal? and i don't give a fuck that you guys are 24 champions.

  21. says who some second grader?am a life long kings fan …but that hit is nor even to tenor twenty,,specialy not by hardy,,its a jocke
    am sure

  22. did i say we had? small markets from south of usa are a disgraced to hockey.Luc robitaille and Marcel dionne would be legends if they played with the habs. i can still laugh at the kings winning 1 cup in 46 years

  23. Look, some small markets in the "Sun Belt" of the USA probably should not have teams.

But the Kings are a proud franchise. Sure, it took us 44 years to win it all, but look at the Leafs! And Kings fans have been around FOREVER. Los Angeles is a proud city, with a proud hockey team. So shut up with this small market crap. LA is larger than any city in Canada.

  24. la,new york, and chicago are huge citys but filled with 90% are blacks and mexicans. not even 5% of the population are hockey fans. if you say you like hockey people will laugh at you
