I don’t think a GM can right a sinking ship in a few months especially in the age of salary cap. I don’t believe a coach is going to change the habits of 35+ year old players that know they are secure till retirement. Maybe, just maybe, it’s the players on the ice that need to play better, more consistently.

I understand this isn’t really that deep and it’s just a meme, but I have absolutely no doubt Bemstrom will add more to the lineup than Harkins or Phillips. This isn’t a season saving move or anything, but it’s definitely an upgrade

This is a dumb take. Just because you can meme doesn’t mean you should.
From a leafs fan, Everyone needs to chill on Dubas. The guy finds gems. The good cheap pieces of the leafs depth were all found and developed under Dubas. The expensive almost at value pieces came this season with shanny in full control.
The leafs players let him down when it came to the playoffs. The best players never came through. With the pens you know he’s got THE horse. Needs to tinker and get sid the support to get them there before he’s done.
Edit: that being said the Foligno deal was heinous.
