    We could have 4 first round picks this year.
    Hanifin and Tanev, the Lindholm deal, then at the draft you trade Markstrom like NJ did for Schneider, you take that teams pick in the mid to late 20’s.
    Draft Tij, draft another defenceman or two and another forward. Boom, you’re set. Just like Rhetro said, you draft some guys in the 2nd or 3rd round as well that could definitely turn into some guys if all things go well.

    You got zary, Pelletier, Coronato, Sharky, Poirier, Brzustewicz, Vladar, Wolf, plus all your prospects this year.

    You’re really looking at competing in 2 years. That should be the goal

    My friend and I were pissed that the Flames took Roni over Raty or Stankoven in the 2021 draft. I think time has vindicated us.

    From a Calgary point of view, you want pot of gold back. But from the view of the other teams, you won't give up a lot for rental players. Something between! If you were a GM what would you give Calgary for Chris Tanev and Jacob Markstrom ??? I hope Toronto is Listening.

    One thing people don't talk about is the possible value of getting a future first round pick. Who says Boston or Tampa's pick in 3 years won't be a top 12 pick in a deep draft?

    You are talking about picks, that haven’t proven themselves! Jersey was going to give Holtz for either Hanifin or Tanev. He’s young and looks like he’s got talent. Might fit well with Huberdeau.
